We wanted to stay longer - the ocean view is breath-taking, the amenities fantastic - it makes for a very relaxed, happy holiday - priceless!
Bedruthan Steps is definitely on our shortlist of favourite places we would like to re-visit. It has been thoroughly upgraded to provide a contemporary, luxury hotel, with breathtaking sea views across Mawgan Porth beach. Family owned and run, by people who clearly take pride in what they do, it has won numerous awards. Together with it's eco-friendly ethos, it is the facilities and service that will make a lasting impression. A great choice for families it offers perfect pampering for frazzled parents, from treatments to indoor and outdoor solar-heated pools, a stylish bar and excellent food in the adults-only dining room. Plus an OFSTED registered nursery, kids' clubs, babysitting, wonderful sunsets and a newly refurbished spa.
Bedrooms have a contemporary, comfortable design, most with views over the Atlantic Ocean. Choose from interconnecting rooms, family rooms and suites - there is something to suit all requirements. Facilities include the tried and tested baby listening service in every room and yes it works (thank-you Aggie), microwaves can be found conveniently around the hotel for warming bottles and baby food. You can also hire all-terrain buggies to save on that precious car boot space. The Indigo Bay Restaurant serves up the best of seasonal local produce accompanied by an impressive wine list. Café Indigo is perfect for family lunches. The children's teas menu changes every day and offers healthy options. Fresh fruit is always available as is homemade baby food.
Child friendly facilities
For children, there are evening activities (we were witness to an informative animal show that included live iguanas and skunks!), indoor and outdoor play areas suitable for babies to teenagers and Ofsted inspected clubs for all ages. Children can interact with the environment in the nature garden and a Real Nappy Kit is available for guest use. For parents, there is a baby listening service for peace of mind during dinner, evening entertainment and the Ocean Spa is the place to be pampered with luxurious signature treatments (without the nasty chemicals). Other facilities include a gym, swimming and tennis coaching. Teens can hang out in the Teenage Room or challenge their friends to a game of pool. There is also Space - a games room solely for the over 18's as sometimes it's refreshing to be in an environment away from the little monsters. An adults only lounge area is well used by parents taking a bit of time out to read that morning newspaper.
A wealth of staff-led recycling initiatives, green information boards, and low energy lighting throughout are just some of the measures supporting the hotel's robust environmental policy.

If you can tear yourself away from the wonderful facilities of Bedruthan you will soon realise you are in the perfect location to explore the many delights of Cornwall. Just a short drive from Bedruthan are the eleven golden beaches in and around Newquay. Newquay is also home to a whole host of things to see and do including restaurants, shops, a boating lake, Newquay Zoo and the Blue Reef Aquarium. Further afield, you can discover the Eden Project.
