Celtic Manor Resort Hotel, South Wales
Coldra Woods, The Usk Valley, Newport, South Wales
The Celtic Manor sits rather grandly atop a hill with a commanding view over the Monmouthshire countryside and boasts a wide range of world class facilities. There are two hotels on this resort - the five star Resort Hotel and the historic 19th century Manor House. For families, you are most likely to stay in the Resort Hotel due to the room sizes and options.
On arrival at the Celtic Manor Resort you will be stuck by the sheer vastness of this luxurious hotel. The soaring atrium is dominated by carved Welsh Dragons and the enormity of this space adds to the feeling of grandness and luxury you would expect from a five star hotel. Located off to the right of reception you will find an arcade of shops which can deck Dad out in the latest golf clobber or Joules for the children. You will also discover a manned information desk dedicated especially for families. This is an extremely useful resource and can inspire you with ideas for family days out.
The family rooms are beautifully appointed and traditionally decorated with the added option of a balcony view. A family room features two double beds and can accommodate two adults and two children, plus a cot. The larger Grand Deluxe Family rooms are exceptionally spacious with two king-size beds, a double sofa bed, and yet more space for an extra child's bed if required. These rooms can comfortably accommodate two adults and up to four children plus a cot. You may however prefer the more spacious option of interconnecting rooms. Not only does this give you an extra bathroom but it gives them a TV of their own to enjoy! These rooms are available for a special rate but are limited in number.
As venue for the 2010 Ryder Cup, The Celtic Manor Resort offers some of the finest golf courses and facilities in the UK. With three Championship Golf Courses it truly is a haven for golfers.
