Catered Cottage, Derbyshire

Our ski trip was a joy – waking up to fresh coffee, porridge, croissants, eggs, etc, then cake for tea after a fun time on the slopes and a fabulous dinner served with a smile – JOYS. I always wondered why the heck no-one did it back home. WELL someone does – Susan, in fact, who loves cooking and entertaining and will make your time at Catered Cottage memorable for all the right reasons – a laid back, welcoming atmosphere, lovely comfortable accommodation and cooked breakfast, afternoon tea and a 3-course dinner-party style evening meal – that equals NO prep, NO cooking, NO washing up – what are you waiting for?????

The Cart Lodge at Lee Wick Farm, Essex

The Cart Lodge belongs to Lee Wick Farm – a farm still happily operating as such (180 acres of potatoes and a small acreage of cereals) but with the needs of todays markets now also a fishing club, a livery stables – bring your horse along too - as well as a holiday destination. Sleeping up to 11 the cottage is away from the daily hub-bub of the farm, alongside the livery yard. This is perfect walking and cycling territory – both around the farm and the local villages. It’s also a fab base for visiting the local coastline and many tourist attractions including Colchester, Britain's oldest recorded town with architecture, history and shopping on offer, as well as a very good Zoo!
