Derwentwater Youth Hostel, Cumbria

A lovely 220 year old mansion in a superb location with wonderful views of the Lake and the surrounding mountains. Being only 2 miles from Keswick – main tourist centre in the Northern Lakes, makes this a great base for a holiday in the Lakes. Friendly staff can advise you on local walks and attractions. Home made meals, good parking, large grounds, waterfall, summer sunsets over the lake and you can even spot some red squirrels.
