Decoy Cottages give families on holiday the opportunity to relax, unwind and re-charge your batteries in superb surroundings. Stay in a beautifully furnished cottage, very spacious and well planned, with lots of thoughtful extras to boot! Decoy Country Cottages can be found in the beautiful and historic Boyne Valley in County Meath, nearby to the town of Navan and just a 30 minute drive from Dublin airport. There are lots of small towns and important historic sites, relatively nearby and easy to get to.
Each property at Decoy Country Cottages is individually designed to the highest standard for your comfort and enjoyment. Opening your stable door to your holiday accommodation you will enjoy toasty warm feet (compliments of geothermal under-floor heating - standard throughout all cottages) and a welcoming basket with fresh brown bread, tea, eggs, jam and milk. Hence a dash to the local shops after a long journey is eliminated. All cottages also possess a wood burning stove, well equipped fully fitted kitchens with granite work tops, spacious, tastefully decorated accommodation, the most comfortable beds with feather duvets and crisp white linen, Satellite TV, DVD player and VHS player. Electricity and heating are included in the rate as are bed linen, towels, cots and highchairs (subject to availability). Baby kits including baby monitors, sterilizers, and stairgates can also be supplied subject to availability. The largest self catering property is 4 bedroom Decoy House with a capacity for 8 guests.
Families can enjoy time out at the "den", a on-site relaxing games room for use by all, with a comfortable sitting area, wood burning stove, satellite TV, DVD/Video player and a library of DVD's and videos and board games. Upstairs there is a games area for older children with pool table and air hockey as well as a gym with treadmill, cross trainer, bike and weights. Venture outside the back door and you will discover a children's outdoor play area, a courtyard garden and a BBQ area .Children are welcome to feed the resident ducks, chickens or the goat, and maybe even bottle feed the lambs, and there are always eggs to be collected!
Should you be arriving late, you can take advantage of a wonderful bonus service and pre-order a hot meal to be ready for your arrival. A breakfast service of locally sourced and home made products can also be provided. There is an indulgent on-site day spa where you can enjoy luxurious face or body treatments from a highly qualified therapist.

There is a public swimming pool at Navan and an aquatic centre at Blanchardstown. Funtasia in Drogheda has a pool, bowling, climbing wall and high wire adventure trail. The beaches at Laytown and Bettystown are about 30 mins drive away to the East and provide miles of sandy beaches. Laytown is also home to the annual Laytown horseraces.
