So you want to go to London with the kids. Accommodation needs to be accessible to all the joys that are available - you need space, separate bedrooms as it is a weekend away for all of you! Perhaps a park nearby, or what about a garden? The Draycott ticks all of the boxes - you can go shopping galore, you can visit museums, you can play in the garden - and you have the joy of being treated like a friend in a beautiful and very reasonably priced 5 star hotel - sorted!

The Draycott has 35 beautifully appointed and furnished rooms and suites that are suitable to bring all the family along for a visit to the Capital. And the newly launched Family Package means that the hotel is ready and waiting to welcome you all. From teddy bears and gift packs on arrival the Draycott , to CD's and DVDs, and comics and colouring books to take into the garden on a fine day. This is a 5 star hotel hence the kids are also equally indulged with mini-bathrobes and luxurious cashmere blankets! A Play-station is available if you become room bound!

Babysitting can be arranged so you can also afford the luxury of taking dinner in one of the many fine restaurants around, or perhaps just go for a beer and grab some important you time.  Hourly rate is £9.50 with a reasonable request that you pay for a taxi ride home for the sitter after 11 p.m.

Although there is no formal restaurant meals from the 24 hour room service menu can be taken in the Library, Drawing Room or in the privacy of your own room. Breakfast is served in the breakfast room! Children are fully catered for. And if you really have a hankering after something Chef George will do his utmost to provide, so do ask. He will also provide a deliciously decadent picnic to enjoy in the garden or a park of your choice - it's just so nice not to have to do it yourself!

As far as accommodation goes you can choose from the most decadent family suite that takes up an entire floor and gives you the utmost freedom to chose to self-cater or order in meals. It is complete with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living-room, kitchen and guest cloakroom. One of the bedrooms is open-plan with views overlooking the lovely private garden square.

There are also various adjoining room options ideal for families with younger children. The Garden View Deluxe Double's at the Draycott have adjacent single rooms whilst other Deluxe Double's have adjoining bunk bed rooms -that as we know can be just so exciting. The rooms thus offer unrivalled privacy for parents and children whilst being reassuringly close by. The sitting area has a comfy sofa and easy chair to crash in and all rooms have their own fireplace. All bedrooms have either a king size or twin beds and benefit from AC, complimentary Wi-Fi, Private Bar and CD, DVD and Satellite TV.

I did mention the unique service that sets The Draycott Hotel apart earlier. All guests are welcome to complimentary afternoon tea (4pm) with a selection of homemade biscuits, a glass of champagne before dinner at 6 pm and hot chocolate served before bed!
