At Holidays Wales, the accommodation takes the form of six fabulously unique underground houses, nestled into the hillside on a spacious working farm. Sharing the same brilliant views, there is also the beautifully converted Shepherds Hut, Hillside View. Whichever option you choose, you can expect a private hot tub located on your own terrace, taking full advantage of the countryside vista. The underground houses sleep between five adults plus one child and six adults, typically in two king-size bedrooms and a bunk room (perfect for kids). The beautifully rounded windows provide a feeling of being truly hidden away in the hills, whilst allowing the natural light to pour in. For a little extra luxury, Rabbits View even has a freestanding bath right by the window so you can read, soak and take in the views from the warmth and comfort of your own room. Every house has a family bathroom too, with a contemporary suite and large shower.
For families of four, you’ll also find Hillside View at the same Rhayader location. The gorgeous wooden shepherds hut houses a master double room and a comfortable bench sofa which by day can be used for relaxing in front of the smart TV, before converting at night into a single bunk bed, perfect for the little ones to rest their heads after a busy day of exploring the Welsh countryside. The shower room is compact and well designed, like the rest of the hut, to maximise space and provide all the home comforts you need. Hillside View is set in a private enclosed garden, where the dogs and children can use up any remaining energy at the end of the day, whilst you sit and enjoy a cool drink as the sun goes down or perhaps slip into the enticing hot tub and soak in the views. Whatever option you go for, bedding and towels are provided, and a travel cot and high chair can be too. However, you’ll need to pack your own bedding for the cot.
