Experience camping with a twist and go Wild West in a heated wooden wigwam
Humble Bee caravan and camping site is set in a quarter acre secluded field away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As a working farm, you'll find plenty to amuse the little ones - including spotting the various animals - pigs, sheep and cows. There are regularly new additions including piglets and calves. You will certainly meet Spot and Charlie, the friendly and playful Jack Russell dogs. For breakfast your children will love collecting fresh eggs from the Humble Bee chicken houses. With a pretty duck pond and plenty of walks to enjoy around the farm and the rest of the area - ask the owners and they will provide you with extra information. Pets are welcome but must pre-arranged - there is a dog walking area.
There are excellent showers and toilet facilities which are kept very clean. Showers are free of charge with loads of hot water and you don't have to pack your own hairdryer. A laundry facility is available with washing machine and dryer. The washing up area also has plenty of hot water. You can exchange your ice packs at no extra charge and there is a Calor Gas exchange. A handy on-site shop stocks a mouth watering range of locally-sourced fresh produce, including local meats to enjoy on your barbecue.
The wigwams can sleep up to a maximum of 5 people. Each wooden wigwam is heated and comes equipped with mattresses, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge and barbecue for the true outdoor experience. Just bring your own sleeping bags, pillows, torches, toiletries, plates, tea towels etc. For cooler nights fire pits are available for hire with wood. Wigwams are open all year round.
All pitches for tents, tourers, motorhomes, folding camper do include electric hookup. For caravan and camping visitors there is a great new patio area overlooking the duck pond where you can enjoy spectacular views and some peace and tranquillity. A recently installed children's play area will keep youngsters amused, comprising of swings and toddler swing, towers with bridge across, fireman's pole and slide.
Humble Bee Farm is within easy reach of offsite facilities including pubs, restaurants, takeaways, swimming pools, sports facilities and of course the local resorts, villages and attractions. When you want to go further afield, Humble Bee Farm is the perfect base for exploring this beautiful part of the country. Located in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds within easy striking distance of the seaside town of Filey and surrounding villages. A little further away is Bridlington to the south and Scarborough and Whitby to the north. By way of contrast, the stunning scenery of the North York Moors National Park is just a short drive away inland.

We have just had a fantastic weekend at humble bee farm in the wigwams. much better than camping- a great out door experience - warm and use of kettle ,microwave, toaster and fridge. plus an out door b-bque for each wigwam- made cooking easy. the farm is in a fabulous quiet setting , with lovely easy going walks for all the family. The children particularly enjoyed the farm experience - the hosts extremely welcomming - allowing them to pick up their own eggs from the chicken pens each morning and feeding the pigs- they loved the whole outddoor experience. surrounding areas are great to visit and we will definently return.

We've just returned from a weekend in the wigwams (May 09). I have a 3 and 4 year old and we all had a Brilliant time. The wet weather didn't spoil a thing. It's also a great base to go off for day trips. The whole campsite had a lovely atmosphere & was clean & welcoming. I can't wait to go again!
