Fantastic lovely cottages. We have stayed in both the modern (with hot tub) and traditional cottage. Both are of a very high standard (the children loved the hot tub on an evening). Ideal place for a base to explore the east coast. Children love the working farm, feeding the hens and collecting a couple of eggs. We like it so much we are going back again.

Brilliant holiday 5 star accomadation, a lovely friendly place to be. The kids loved every minute of it. The hens, the pigs etc a truly enjoyable experience! Cottage was 1st class all our needs were met, the hot tub made it extra special. We've booked for next year so what more can I say!

What a fantastic place! We have been twice now and will be going again. Julie and John at the farm greeted us with a warm welcome, the children loved visiting the animals, the dog loved the farm, we loved the hot tub. Excellent cottages very snug. A little bit of luxury away from it all.

This was the perfect getaway - total relaxation - even with the kids!! They loved the farm animals and collecting fresh eggs on a morning. We have already reccommended this to our friends and family and will def be back. My son wants a hot tub now and keeps asking me everyday for one!!!

A fabulous cottage with top spec faciltities: a comprensively equipped kitchen if you want to cook at home (with sharp knives for a change!), wonderful log fire (with guard) for chilly evenings, an ensuites for each bedroom . Other little touches like coffee tea and biscuits, bottled water in the bedroom, toiletries, hairdryer and fresh flowers made our arrival really special. The boot room is a great idea for dumping those sandy, muddy shoes. Our children loved feeding the fish and visiting the pigs and cattle, but their favourite was collecting the eggs from the hen houses which they then brought back and had for breakfast! A great wooden playground makes Humble Bee Farm a perfect environment for children and the shop is an added bonus selling essentials including a few sweets - our daughter was a loyal customer during our stay. The owners Julia and John couldn't be more hospitable. We're going back in August to try out a wooden WigWam - all the fun of camping without having to put up your own tent!

I would definitely recommend a visit to Humble Bee Farm cottages, we stayed in Merry Dale cottage which was beautifully decorated and well equiped with everything you would need for self catering. The hot tub was a real bonus and the cottage felt secluded due to the private aspect at the rear of the cottage. Our two boys loved the farm aspect and the play area and soon got into collecting eggs and viewing the cows hourly! John and Julia were very helpful without being intrusive, this place really has it all for a relaxing family break.

We have stayed in lots of 4-5 star accommodation and this is by far the best - John and Juila who run the place are so welcoming and warm- and are visable every day with a friendly word and John doesn't seem to mind the hundred of questions about the chickens and cows !! we had for him. Our daughter loved collecting the eggs in the morning and we had to see the cows at least 4 times a day. I was lucky enough to be beckoned over by John to see a calf being born, you can feed to ducks at the duckpond, play on the swing and slides, the cottage is very well laid out and very modern and new, with plenty of equipment. There are plenty of walks around the area. The cottages are very private. The hot tub can easily fit 6 in it. I cannot recommend this cottage enough it is a fantastic place to take the kids -and we will be going back in the winter.
