The Croft is a stunning barn conversion that is completely child friendly, superbly equipped and decorated with aplomb to the very highest standards. Originally a cow byre this property, whilst retaining its original charm, is now a stunning detached holiday home catering for up to 7 guests plus room for a cot. This single storey stone cottage has a very private position in the attractive farm hamlet of Tughall Steads and is suitable for guests of limited mobility. Down a country lane, with no through traffic, the cottage is ideally placed to soak up the commanding views over the neighbouring countryside towards the Cheviot Hills. With its position in the hamlet and the impressive ½ acre landscaped garden makes The Croft an ideal safe haven for children to play.
Step through into The Croft and it will be hard to contain your glee. This spacious cottage with large living area offers contemporary designer furnishings, stylish interiors and fully equipped with everything you would expect from a premium cottage. It features floor to ceiling windows, exposed wooden beams, vaulted ceilings, original stonework and log burner. A fabulous bespoke dining kitchen with black aga, flat screen TV and fully integrated appliances will be a joy to use. There are two double bedrooms one with en-suite shower room and a triple bedroom that has bunk beds plus a single and a family bathroom.
The thoughtful little extras go a long way to make your holiday more enjoyable and that is why you have at your disposal cots, highchairs, sterilisers and numerous other baby items. With no need to overload your car as a selection of toys, books, games and DVDs are available for your use. And for the grown-ups a chilled bottle of wine in the fridge on arrival together with a starter supply of tea and coffee , fresh milk, complimentary magazines and designer toiletries.
For those who would like a break from cooking you can use the services of local catering companies. Take advantage of the fantastic food delivery service where you can stock up on your groceries through a local company and have them in your cottage ready for your arrival, thus eliminating the need for a dash to the shops as soon as you get there.
As well as the superb large garden with patio and outdoor furniture there is a detached storage/games room with full size table tennis table - a great space separate to your holiday home for children to have their own bolthole. Together with a large timber play equipment with swings, slide and see-saw, children are going to love this place.
During your stay your family can enjoy membership to Ocean Leisure Club. This is located 5 minutes drive away in Seahouses, with its 20m pool and children's pool, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room, gym, cafe, bike hire centre and contemporary health and beauty salon (ideal treat for Mums!!). Ideal as a wet weather retreat or as a place to chill after a day on the beach.
Babysitting, a daily maid service, horse riding lessons and a holiday photo shoot (amongst others!) are all extras that can all be arranged to make your family holiday at The Croft truly memorable.
