If your family love nothing more than spending the day building sand-castles on a beach, flying kites and collecting shells then the Trefeddian Hotel is the place to stay. Stood proudly on a spectacular position on the Cambrian Coast, with superb views of the beach and sea as well as overlooking Aberdovey's Championship 18 hole Links Golf Course, you have a four mile stretch of glorious sandy beaches to explore. The Trefeddian is family run with dedicated staff, who genuinely care about the hospitality you receive from knee-high and upwards. Set in it's own grounds, the hotel is the perfect retreat for all the family offering something for everyone. Facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, putting green, tennis court, snooker room, beauty salon, indoor and outdoor play areas. The Hotel has a lift to all floors and may be suitable to people with certain disabilities. Half board accommodation is provided - allowing you to sample the fine cuisine the Trefeddian is renowned for. With the opportunity to feed the children at an earlier time slot (5.15-5.45pm) the option is there to take advantage of the baby listening service and enjoy some grown up time.
There is a selection of larger rooms that are suitable for family occupancy. These rooms comprise of a double bed and a single bed, some have one or two sofas that can be made up as beds, or an extra bed can be placed in the room allowing the room to sleep up to 2 adults with 3 children. Any of the family rooms can have a cot in the room for younger children. All rooms are en suite with WC, bath and or shower. All bedrooms are non-smoking and have level access - some are suitable for persons with limited mobility. You will have direct dial telephone, remote control colour television, radio, hospitality tray and baby listening service.
The hotel has four elegant lounges to cater for different needs with one being a dedicated family lounge. With a large south facing bay window this family lounge has a panoramic view of the area with ample comfortable seating. It is a favourite place to catch up with friends after a busy day out. The spacious bar lounge is open all day for drinks and offers a peaceful environment with its hill view for a little reflection.
The Dining Room boasts an impressive 5 course Table D'Hote menu using fresh local produce whenever possible and is complimented by a fine selection of wines and friendly service. Tables are pre-allocated on the day of arrival. At lunchtime, as well as the traditional lunch menu, there is a choice of light bar snacks or sandwiches served in the lounges or outside on the terrace. Packed lunches can be ordered from reception for guests to take out on day trips.
The Trefeddian can also offer self-catering units that can accommodate families of up to a maximum of 8. All have sea views but are unsuitable for persons with walking difficulties. Linen and towels are provided at no extra cost. Self-catering guests may use the hotel facilities (tennis court, putting green, snooker room and games room). Guests may also use the swimming pool, though there are time restrictions. Self catering guests are welcome to have meals in the hotel dining room subject to how busy the hotel is.
