Located in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales on a working farm; children can see the cattle and horses as well as help to feed the chickens and collect the eggs for breakfast. There is a walled/gated garden where it is safe for young children to play. With fabulous footpaths from the door and direct access to The High Peak Trail makes it ideal for family cycling or even bringing your horse on holiday. After a day exploring the Peak District you can relax in the Swedish hot tub under the stars or enjoy toasting marshmallows and drinking mulled wine around a roaring open outdoor firepit. Alton Towers, one of UK’s most popular theme parks is just a 30 minute drive away. Excellent disabled facilities. Open all year round with short breaks available.

The perfect place for family gatherings and special occasions, the generous living space downstairs has under-floor heating and includes a playroom for children, a large kitchen/dining-room with doors out to a covered deck, with a living-room and a garden-room overlooking the landscaped grounds, so everybody will find space to relax and savour this wonderful house. A hot tub in the garden, a heated kennel to house your best friend, when you visit dog-free locations, and an enclosed meadow for children to play in. The beautiful sandy beaches of the Roseland peninsula and the inspirational Eden Project are all within easy reach by car.

Rolling farmland, hidden tree-lined valleys typify south east Cornwall. Deep in countryside, yet only a half-hour’s drive from the coast, Dannett is a real treat. Comprising of two attractive cottages, both have their own play-area and patio, and everyone can enjoy woodland walks, fishing in the ponds and the shared games-room. There are donkeys, a tame goat called Beatrice and three miniature ponies, and the Owners who farm cattle and sheep, live next door (but guests will be quite private) are happy to take children when feeding other animals on the farm. Close to the Eden Project and some wonderful gardens, Dannett offers a warm welcome to all.

Tucked away in the small hamlet of Come to Good, between Truro and Falmouth, Come to Good Farm is a working sheep farm which also happens to be a fantastically child-friendly, relaxed farmhouse B & B (we found one!). The detached family suite is perfect family accommodation - the double en-suite in the farmhouse is perfect should the grandparents want to come along too!
