Situated in the Somerset Levels in the lovely hamlet of Curload and just 8 miles east of Taunton, Walnut Arbour sits in a fabulous rural position amidst an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, yet it is just only 8 miles from junction 24 of the M5. It's an ideal retreat to enjoy a short break and the perfect venue to gather for your family holiday.
Accommodation
Internally the Barn has a wonderful living area. The shaker style kitchen has all the appliances you need for cooking for the 5 thousand (complete with welcome hamper), the dining room has a glorious oak table and chairs for you all to sit at and regale one another with family tales and with lots of comfy sofas, a wood-burning stove (logs provided), iPod dock stereo, DVD and 42 inch plasma television with Sky the sitting room provides for the rest.
There are 2 bedrooms downstairs, a family bathroom and a cloakroom. Both bedrooms are light, airy, well equipped and can either be twin or 6ft doubles; one has an additional single bed, making a perfect family room.
Upstairs are four further bedrooms, three can be twin or 6ft doubles (one again with an additional single bed), the other has a 5ft double. There are two en suite rooms upstairs and an additional family bathroom. All bedrooms are provided with Egyptian cotton linen, fluffy towels and bathrobes bedrooms have freeview TVs.

And now for the bits that make Kate's places such a treat ...
Practically the barn has all safety issues covered; stair gates are fitted and spare sockets are filled with socket guards and bed guards ensure no waking up with a big bump. There are plastic cutlery, plates and beakers in the kitchen, as well as a blender for whizzing up baby food. You can even have the fridge and shelves stocked up with your weekly shop from the co-operative of Exmoor and Quantock producers; that's good on the foodmile-ometer. For even greater decadence catering can be arranged, that is you may pre-order meals that will be delivered ready to heat/eat or else you can go the whole caboodle and opt for a fully catered option so that you may all enjoy the experience.
The children and baby facilities are amazingly extensive; toys are age graded, travel cots, toddler ready beds, Moses basket, high chairs, booster seats, steriliser, bottle warmer, changing mats, baby bath, baby bouncer, 3 wheel pushchair, buggy, monitor, baby carrier, baby sling - check before you pile up your car with unnecessary items! Outdoor toys and bikes are also available to use in the lovely enclosed gardens which means you might even grab a minute to sit back and enjoy a glass of wine.
The fantastic leisure barn is adjacent and available for your sole use. There is a wonderful games room with snooker table, table football, further television and leather sofas to lounge on. Leading from the games room is the fully heated pool and entertainment area, stylishly finished with terrific attention to detail for children of all ages. The comfy sofas provide a great spot for the essential play station, necessary for all teenagers! The snooker table and table football will appeal to all ages. The swimming pool is perfect for children, at a safe continual depth (no deep end) fun inflatables and other suitable pool toys provided.
Whilst the kids are splashing in the pool adults can indulge in the luxury spa hot tub with its Moto-Massage ® jets and a Quartet ® jet system to soothe your neck, shoulders and back! Its Luminescence 6 colour system appeals to all ages so choose the colour you like best -and best you don't let the kids see otherwise you'll probably never get in it!
Well behaved pets are allowed by prior arrangement but are not to be left in the barn, allowed in bedrooms or on the furniture.
To Do
You will be spoilt for choice for outings as there is a wealth of places to visit and things to see in the area. There are recommended pubs and restaurants not too far away - one of which is in easy walking distance.
Nearest Town: Taunton, 6 miles away. Provides many leisure, sporting and food options. Great restaurants and great shopping! A fab weekly farmers market.
Nearest Shop: Two village shops both approx 1 mile.
Nearest Pub/Eatery: 3 pubs with in 1.5 miles, one great one The Bird in Hand in North Curry.
Nearest Airport: Bristol Airport, 30 mins
