Being up for yet another Green Award provides further recognition of the sustainable, yet high quality holiday experience Mazzard Farm offers in East Devon. Where many tourism businesses have taken some steps towards sustainability, the Mazzard Farm experience takes Green Tourism to a completely new level. Yet, without compromising on luxury, or in any way restricting holiday makers of having a great time. Just some examples of what makes Mazzard Farm a Green tourism business include heating and hot water generated by biomass, optimal insulation and energy efficiency of the cottages, a strong emphasis on enjoying and supporting the local area around the farm, and extensive communication with guests as to how they can experience a holiday without leaving a negative environmental foot print.

Delighted by the results, Jacqueline Parker (owner of Mazzard Farm holiday cottages) comments:-

"When you work so hard at making sure the business you run is a positive one, in more ways than one, then being shortlisted for such a prestigious award is just wonderful. We are very pleased that the GTBS judges have recognised that running a luxury holiday business can go hand in hand with care for the environment in which we live."
