Becky Falls Woodland Park, Devon

Family Day Out in Devon, Manaton near Newton Abbot

For great kids days out, come and see why Becky Falls Woodland Park near Bovey Tracey was voted Devon’s Top Beauty Spot and was chosen as one of the WWF’s 'Incredible Family Days Out'. Suitable for all ages, there’s lots to keep active kids busy, from boulder scrambling and exploring the river walks, to hunting for the stamps on the children’s stamp trail (where every child wins a prize). For kids who love animals, there are shows galore each weekend and during school holidays, as well as animal feeding sessions. Don’t miss the totally hands-on Cute and Cuddly Animal Encounter show, featuring a whole host of furry mammals, or check out the fun-filled and educational 'Animal Encounters of the Scary Kind' show where you can meet (and touch!) boa constrictors and lizards. There’s also an 'Ugly Bug' encounter featuring some of the largest insects you are ever likely to meet and the Indoor Theatre is the place to go to, to try out free creative activities. And remember, once you’ve paid your entrance fee, all of the shows and activities are included - so there’s nothing else to pay. Becky Falls set in a secluded valley has cascading waterfalls and marked trails through beautiful woodland and is a perfect Dartmoor day out! Dogs on leads are also welcome.
