Rosemoor's present day grounds cover some 35 acres. Of these, some 20 acres have been dedicated as a Nature Reserve. Through the valley in which the Reserve lies and over which Rosemoor looks out, a small stream flows to the sea, discharging itself through Sandyhaven Pill into the Milford Haven estuary. With the help of a grant from the Nature Conservancy Council this stream was dammed, creating a 5½-acre lake which now forms the heart of the Reserve.
