Crealy Adventure Park , Devon

Stubbers is a fabulous centre for kids between the ages of 7 - 16. Offering such adrenaline inspiring activities including sailing, archery, canoeing, quad-biking and high ropes the kids will be occupied throughout the day from drop off at 8:30pm to collection as late as 6:30pm. And my goodness how occupied the lucky devils - wish they had a place like this when I was a kid! §

Rockingham Forest , Northamptonshire

The Royal Forest of Rockingham is Northamptonshire's medieval hunting forest, a gorgeous mix of ancient woodlands and open agricultural land with historic features and attractive stone-built forest villages. Today the Forest offers visitors plenty of routes for walking, cycling and riding with a number of different woods to visit. The forest is renowned for the Red Kites soaring above the trees - a spectacular site and worth a visit to see them alone!

Westonbirt - The National Arboretum, Gloucestershire

Westonbirt is home to a whopping 16,000 trees spanning 2500 species. The trees are from across the world including Japan, Chile and North America, and they make Westonbirt a wonderful destination for walks and picnics. There are trails and activities, guided walks and events throughout the summer. It is buggy friendly, there are facilities for babies and children, and there's a playground, a cafe, a restaurant and picnic area. Lovely.

Watertop Farm, County Antrim

In the lovely green Glens of Antrim, Watertop Farm offers a boating lake, pony trekking, play areas, go-karting, a quad train, lovely walks to go on, demonstrations of sheep shearing and a small animal house with puppies, rabbits, chicks, piglets and lambs.

Big Pit: National Coal Museum, Monmouthshire

Big Pit is a real coal mine and one of Britain's leading mining museums. Interactive exhibits and a multi-media tour bring to life mining in an exciting way. Children get to wear real mining gear to go underground, with guided tours from former miners to really bring to life what it was like working at the coal face.

Polka Theatre, London

Polka Theatre is one of the few venues in the UK which is dedicated to producing and presenting work for young audiences ages 0 - 13. Since the doors opened in 1979, this unique venue has been entertaining children with resonant, engaging and exciting theatre. Over 100,000 children a year come to Polka and are inspired, stimulated and engaged by theatre, often for the first time.
