About 310 Cote Ocean, Biscarrosse Plage

Ever fancied a lovely apartment a stroll from the beach in South West France? Yes - and me! Well, Elise has one, a 3 bedroomed, 2 bathroomed one, and she has kindly kitted it out with child-friendly bits and bobs and made it lovely for grown ups and is now offering you the chance to stay there. Contemporary styling in a stunning place - get booking because this will be snapped up!

Your Accommodation

310 Cote Ocean is a beautifully presented apartment situated on the beach with windows facing the sand dunes - a spot ensuring that you can hear the sea and enjoy glorious views from any which place, be it lounging on your hammock on the balcony, lazing on the sofas in the lounge or enjoying an early morning cuppa in bed!

Elise and Tony have lived with their family in SW France since 2005 - they knows the area, the most appropriate beaches, in-land lakes, local shops, restaurants - information to ensure you can get straight in, relax and enjoy your break.

Self-Catering Apartment

The apartment has been furnished very tastefully - full of lovely things and thankfully practical things too that families inherently need whilst travelling and do not necessarily get.

The lounge has two comfy sofas, a TV and DVD player for relaxing time for the kids, a stereo and iPod dock for music and a toy box to keep the children entertained. Wi-fi internet is available throughout the apartment.  There are three bedrooms: two double rooms with king-size beds and a twin room. The bathroom, shower room and two separate toilets help disperse early morning traffic! Please note that should you require it a spare camp bed is available as is a baby cot - do bring your own cot linen.  All other sheets and towels are provided.

The kitchen caters for any cooking skill - it's fully equipped with microwave, toaster, coffee machine and the all important holiday necessity - a dishwasher. Dishwasher tablets are provided, as are laundry tablets for the washing machine. You can air dry your clothes with the airer and pegs and get that lovely fresh laundered smell that I love.

Thoughtfully you will find the cupboard already stocked with Tea, Coffee, Biscuits, Wine, Evian and lots of extras to make your life simpler - and prevent your having to fly out to the shops to season your veg!

There is lots of space to store things in the hallway before and after the beach trek (well not really a trek seeing as it's over the road!). The balcony provides a lovely place to chill out and watch the world going by - from either the deckchairs or hammock provided - and you can rest-assured you'll be using the bbq - you're in the South of France!

Baby Extras

With two children of her own and having travelled much Elise knows what helps - so you'll have the baby high chair and cot, as well as a baby gym for little ones, games for children, board games for us older kids and books and DVDs.

Should you decide that a buggy would be handy (and I do even though Aggie is now five) Elise has a Maclaren available to use. She also has beach towels on hand should you need them - no charge for either but you do have to request them.

Days Out

There's a choice of water - the beach or lake that backs onto the sand dunes - grab your bucket and spade and off you go - my girls need little else.

The lovely thing about this place is that you don't have to pack a car and load twenty-two bags with snacks and gallons of water - you can walk back from the beach for lunch, have a siesta and wander out again. Watersports are extremely popular along the wide sandy beaches so whether you're a beginner or competent there's sure to be something to tempt you.

The lakes are a good option when the surf is up - quiet and tranquil with gorgeously smelly pie forests surrounding them they provide a safe paddling option for little ones.

Cycle paths are many which allow you to explore and do a bit of exercise! The area is well mapped. You can go fishing, horse-riding, go-karting and quad-biking - and once home you could just laze on that balcony with a chilled glass of wine and unwind - doesn't that sound perfect?
