We are delighted to offer 50 family and child friendly campsites - specifically selected for us by the Camping and Caravanning Club. We don't have a personal review for California Cross as we haven't visited yet, so if you require further information please visit the owner's website by clicking the top right button and please do bear with us until we visit all these sites.
The Camping and Caravanning Club recognises how important it is for campers especially with children to find clean amenity blocks with a high standard of fixtures and fittings - this particular one has a parent and baby room. All sites highlighted have additional on-site laundry facilities, just in case your brood happen to have fun frolicking in the mud! Your pitch will be available after noon on your arrival day and you will need to vacate it before noon on your last days stay.
The children's outdoor playground should help keep little ones entertained whilst parents need a breather or while tea is being prepared. The California Inn and shop, both next to the site, serve locally produced food and drink. A Butcher calls to the Site once a week, selling meat from Markstone Farm - campers can place their orders before they arrive
Things to Do and Family Days Out in Devon
The glorious beaches of South Hams are ideal for a family day out, whether you choose to sunbathe, build sandcastles, surf or windsurf. Bigbury on Sea is one of the areas most spectacular beaches, where you can enjoy dramatic coastal walks or take the sea tractor to historic Burgh Island. The popular market town of Kingsbridge and Dartmouth, which has ancient streets, a cobbled market place, independent boutique shops, delicatessens and art galleries.
Travel Torbay's spectacular coast and the beautiful River Dart by steam train, open-top bus and ferry. Woodlands leisure park is a fun packed family day out, with rides, indoor attractions and a falconry.
