Brackenborough Hall Coach House near Louth, was winner of the best self-catering holiday in England 2009 and it’s not hard to see why. The first thing that strikes you about the Coach House is the sheer space! I’m not just talking about the beautiful surrounding countryside, and the rather grand drive up to the family home – but just how huge the actual apartment is! The owner’s website does a good job in describing the facilities etc but nothing can convey how much space it provides! “Wow Mummy” said my little boy – “Look at this”. I can’t print what my husband’s first remarks were as this is a family site...sufficed to say he too was rather impressed by the size!!

Converted in 2008 from traditional barns, Mazzard Farm's 6 cottages on the Jurassic Coast in Devon offer everything a family holiday needs. And more, lots more! The beautifully designed, contemporary cottages, sleeping between 2 and 10, have been built and designed with families in mind. They are well equipped to a very high standard and the farm is completely car-free (cars are parked 10-20 yards away from the cottages). As a result, the courtyard, play areas, football field, orchard and woods together make a perfect place for a lovely holiday for both the young and the not-so-young.
