Touring and Camping

There are thirty acres of parkland for those who love the feeling of being a bit closer to nature. Although the site is in a valley, plenty of terracing means that the actual pitches are all pretty much level, , the higher up pitches have the superb countryside views and come with electric hook-up and have ample awning space. Many have superb countryside views. Hard-standing and Super Pitches also available plus there is a separate orchard reserved for tents.  There are six high-quality toilet blocks, covered washing up areas, laundrettes, mother and baby rooms and family/disabled bathrooms. The site is very popular during school holidays so it always makes sense to book in advance. Although the site is in a valley, plenty of terracing means that the actual pitches are all pretty much level. The higher-up terraced pitches additionally give excellent views across the site.

Location and things to do in Devon

Cofton Country park is a handy distance from J30 of the M5. From Cofton you can take a leisurely walk through Eastdon Woods and down to Dawlish Warren Beach which offers panoramic views across the Exe Estuary. If you are feeling really adventurous you can walk on further to Dawlish via the Coastal Path, the National Cycle Route is nearby and can be joined at Cockwood and you can now cycle seamlessly with the new bridge at Powderham onto Exeter or Exmouth and beyond.  It's really handy to go a couple of miles up the road and park at Starcross station and get the train along the coast past Dawlish and onto Torquay, or get the passenger ferry over to Exmouth.

Also on-site there are several fishing lakes, which should keep anglers amused and they are a haven for wildlife.
