Or maybe you would prefer to stay in the surroundings of a French Country Manor. The Chambres d'hotes has three comfortable and tastefully decorated guestrooms within the manor house, each equipped with their own private bathroom with toilet and shower. The small but idyllic campsite and a collection of fabulous safari tents are located in the grounds of the estate Domaine les Gandins and are adjacent to the manor house.

The Luxury Safari Tents - Camping with the Kids in Style

Wonderfully spacious and beautifully furnished these well equipped tents are especially suited to families with children, and are able to sleep up to 6 people comfortably. There is no need to bring your own camping equipment as everything you may need for a camping holiday has been thoughtfully provided. From a fully equipped kitchen with cooking utensils and crockery, fridge and microwave to quality comfortable beds with all bed linen supplied and even a high chair and cot comes as standard. The lodges are constructed on a wooden platform and have a heater for those chilly nights or fresh dewy mornings. Each canvas lodge has its own private bathroom nearby the tent.

The Estate Grounds and Child Friendly Facilities

The lodges are situated along the bank of the picturesque river La Sioule. An idyllic tranquil spot to swim and is accessible for children, to fish or just read a book on the comfortable terrace at the riverside. There is also the possibility to rent a canoe.

Children can help find eggs laid by the resident hens, meet and greet the sheep, cows, chicken and a horse, or help pick fresh vegetables from the veg garden to be cooked later in the restaurant. One thing is for sure there is always plenty to explore and do with the fantastic child friendly facilities including a wooden play house, trampolines, play carts and a children's tree-house.

The kids can help gather in the firewood for the camp fire and nights spent round the BBQ under star filled skies, toasting marshmallows are just serenely beautiful.
