Gwynfryn Farm, Gwynedd
Gwynfryn Farm Holidays, PWLLHELI, Gwynedd, Wales

One of the best family holidays we have had - fantastic facilities, beautiful surroundings and warm, welcoming hosts.
Set in a complex of 12 cottages we stayed in Padarn which accommodates up to 8 people and took the grandparents with us. The accommodation was a perfect size and fully equipped with a cot and highchair .On a fine day if you leave the doors ajar you might be host to a feline guest which kept my youngest entertained for hours.
We were met with a lovely warm invitation from the owners to join the other guests on a evening BBQ (high season only). This was a fantastic way for the kids to make playmates for the rest of the stay.
There is lots of space for the children to run around freely and enjoy all the facilities -budding young farmers can ride toy tractors around the courtyard. The animals are the big attraction on the farm and guests are welcome to help feed the cats, pigs, hens, goats and lambs (spring) - there is sheer delight when discovering a freshly laid egg from the hen house. Twice daily you can watch from a viewing gallery the cows being milked. This became a fascinating daily ritual ,which was great as our kids were early risers and just shoved on their wellies to walk to the viewing area, instead of reaching for the T.V. remote control.
You are really spoilt for choice for entertainment on the farm and have your pick from the indoor swimming pool with sauna and Jacuzzi, a games room with soft play area for the under fives, pool table, table tennis, air hockey, darts, with chess / draughts board inbuilt on the games room floor. On the upper floor there is table football and a PS2 games console with a 58" television. For the energetic there is a fully equipped fitness room, a full sized tennis court, trampolines and an outdoor adventure play area.
All the above facilities are included in the price of your holiday.
Family bikes and helmets are provided - if you want to explore the country lanes as the farm is only 1.5 miles from Pwllheli, the main town on the Lleyn Peninsula. This has a blue flag beach and a marina.
There are plenty of fantastic sandy beaches around the beautiful Lleyn Peninsula and the owners are only too willing to help with advice on where to go.
Anglesey is just one of them which you can watch the sailing school practising their skills . This is one of the most beautiful areas of Wales to explore with Portmeirion and Snowdonia less than half an hours drive away.
