Hoe Grange Farm is a great base to explore this beautiful location, situated between Ashbourne, Bakewell and Matlock. Stay on this working farm in luxurious self-catering log cabins with spacious decking areas in which to soak up the dramatic views of the Derbyshire countryside. A real "home from home" both Pinder and Hipley log cabins are fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing family holiday including bed-linen, towels, tea towels, travel cots (please bring your own bedding), high chairs, fridge and separate freezer, dishwasher, LCD TV with DVD, and whirlpool bath. The two cabins are located within a secluded stone walled croft adjacent to the farm buildings where it is safe for young children to run around and play. Hipley is a spacious 2 bedroom log cabin which sleeps 4 adults comfortably (or 6 with the use of the lounge sofa bed), and includes disabled facilities. It has a luxury bathroom including a whirlpool bath and a second spacious en-suite with wet-room style shower. There is plenty of space for those with wheelchairs. Pinder is the larger log cabin with three bedrooms it sleeps 6 adults comfortably (or 8 with the use of the lounge sofa bed). It has a luxury bathroom including a whirlpool bath. The master double bedroom has an en-suite with a generous sized shower.
A selection of indoor games, cards, colouring books, DVDs and reading books are available for various ages and a few outdoor games and balls. A lockable storage shed is available for bikes and guests can access High Peak Trail for cycling and walking directly from farm fields, which is very flat and safe with no traffic. Please note there isn't a flat cycling area by the cabins as they are situated on a hill. If you can't fit all your bikes on the back of your car then take advantage of being able to hire adult bikes at a cost of £5 per day - just remember to bring your helmets.
On arrival you will receive a welcome pack with a few essentials to get you started on family holiday, including a loaf of freshly baked bread, some melt in the mouth biscuits, milk, fair trade tea and coffee, and a few small surprises. Don't load your car up with a week's worth of groceries. Take advantage of the food ordering service where you can order locally produced welcome packs, ready meals and puddings direct from Peak District Fine Foods and they will be ready in your cabin for your arrival.
There are a few extra packages available for you to enjoy your holiday in style. Imagine getting the kids to bed and soaking away life's day to day stresses by spending an evening under starry skies, in a traditional log fired Swedish hot tub. Experience the elements as you relax and unwind in the steamy water in the peace and quiet of the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. All you need is your swimsuit, a towel and some flip flops (just £30 for 2 people plus £5 per person extra, maximum 8 people and minimum age 13 years). Or go for the luxury package where fluffy cosy white dressing gowns are provided with refreshments to tempt your taste buds; maybe wine, chocolates, home-made mulled wine , or a bottle of champagne for that extra special occasion (from £50 for 2 people plus £8 pp extra with an additional £10 charge for champagne). Or make the most of the outdoors and enjoy a relaxing evening around the log fire pit. Sample a unique experience in the company of family or friends. The fire is pre-light with all logs supplied together rustic wooden seats and cosy fireside blankets. Sample the delights of home-made mulled wine and marsh mellows for toasting (log-pit experience for just £25).
Hoe Grange Farm can also offer stabling for your horse should you want to bring it with you on holiday. Grazing paddocks are available at most times in the year. There is plenty of parking space for your horsebox or trailer, and a secure tack room for equipment. There are miles of safe off-road riding on a local network of bridle paths and immediate access to the High Peak Trail, now part of the recently designated National Pennine Bridleway.
