As if the Feather Down Farm Days tent weren't rustically charming enough, the Retreat with Treats package available at Hollings Hill Farm presents its guests with an all-inclusive stay in accommodation dressed with extra easy chairs and space-adding verandahs. There's also an outdoor AGA-style cooker for starlit family feasts, unlimited access to a smoke barrel or open-fire stewpot (ingredients are charged as extra) and a wood-fired oven inside, instead of the usual stove. 

On arrival your luggage is taken to your tent for you, and your new home is made more welcoming than ever before, with your wood-burner and candles aglow, your bed ready made and a tempting hamper of goodies to tuck in to.

But the icing on the cake for most weary parents will be the indulgent but still superbly simple spa experience that a Hollings Hill stay includes. Half a day spent in the hot tub and sauna of the farm's open-air Field Spa will soon soothe pre-holiday cares away – and, if you'll let them, the kids can join in too.

The tents here are in a lovely setting near the old farm orchard, with views of rolling countryside and the breathtaking Malvern Hills. Hollings Hill is a dairy farm running a year-round breeding programme, so there will be calves aplenty for the kids to befriend, as well as the usual open-air diversions you'd expect on a working farm set in such a beautiful spot as this.
