The family owned and managed Langstone Cliff Hotel is situated twelve miles from Exeter and Torbay and seven miles from the M5 motorway; it is very easy to reach. With facilities galore, woodlands to explore, kids clubs and outdoor play areas the hotel is geared up to keep the kids occupied whatever the weather.
Accommodation
All rooms are en-suite, some with balconies and sea views so ask when booking what is available. The selection of family suites have 2 or 3 independent rooms for the children off a small lobby. If you prefer to share there are a variety of family rooms where you can all sleep together. Rooms are simple and uncluttered - perfect for when you land with the kids and the bags! A baby-listening service is available from all bedrooms. A small fridge can be placed in your room if required.
With 20 acres of woodland, expansive lawns and gardens there is plenty of room to explore and have a run about - the magnificent sea views overlooking the golden sandy beaches and the internationally-famous nature reserve at Dawlish Warren will relax the most frantic of you. The mile-long beach at Dawlish Warren is just a short walk away, just five hundred metres from the hotel via a public footpath.
There's plenty to do within the hotel itself which is great if the weather is somewhat inclement! Facilities include an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, paddling pools for the smaller swimmers, a hard tennis court for budding Henmans, a full size snooker table, table tennis, a fitness room, toddler room and play centre, there's little chance you should hear those dreaded words - "I'm bored"! The Langstone Cliff even has its own hairdressing salon - ‘HeadStrong' - so if you come back from the beach a little wind-blown there's no excuse for bad hair days!
If the weather is good, as well as the nearby beach you can wander across to Robin Hood's hideout, a large wooded play area. During the school holidays, the hotel also provides a variety of children's entertainers - ‘Merlin the Magician' is particularly popular especially as some of his props are live and furry!

The hotel is surrounded by the beauty of the Devon coast and just a short ride to Dartmoor, the Teign and Dart estuaries, Exeter, Torbay, Plymouth and the countless attractions of South Devon. Newton Abbot and Exeter racecourses are both situated nine miles from the hotel and The Starcross Yacht Club and Starcross Fishing and Cruising Club are just a couple of miles down the road. The 18-hole Dawlish Warren Golf Club course is only a further 300 metres from the hotel and the Hotel has one ‘four ball' a day available to hotel residents free of charge.
