Little White Alice is a luxury complex of six sustainably built eco-cottages meets contemporary and relaxed design. Exquisitely detailed and extremely tasteful the cottages provide a fine way to explore the heart of Cornwall and the stunning north and south coasts, given that either are just 10 miles away.
Accommodation
Under-floor heating, wood-burning stoves, feather-filled sofas, oak floors, hand-crafted rugs - the list goes on - this could be an interiors mag editorial - but NO this is a description of your fabulous home to be.
The individual cottages, all named after trees from the Celtic Tree Calendar, sleep between 2 to 8 - the Oak House and Hazel House may be joined to sleep up to 12 for a large group of you. The smaller cottages are ideal for couples or grandparents giving them the choice to partake in the fun or else escape to their own space.
The lounge areas are perfect for family nights in with comfy, colourful feather-filled sofas, soft rugs and cushions, flat screen TVs, DVD's, music, books and games. The under-floor heating, triple-glazed windows and wood-burning stove, with a good supply of kindling and logs, ensure the cottages will be inviting and warm even after the most bracing winter walk, or after a dip in the pool or a day at the beach.
Beds are super-king, emperor, double or twin depending on your requirements. All have feather-filled pillows, cosy duvets and fine linen - perfect requisites to join the good fresh air for a sound night's sleep! Cots, highchairs and stairgates are available on request. Cot bedding is not provided.
Towels and locally made toiletries are provided in all bathrooms and en-suites. Remember your towels for the beach!
The Oak house has it's own laundry room, all other cottages share a communal laundry room housing the 'green' washing machine and drier. Traditional clothes driers and washing lines are available too.
The space outdoors - comprising 25 acres of heathland, coppiced wood and gardens - allows for long walks and the kids to explore as per those idyllic happy childhood memories when kids were free to roam. And of course there is the stunning natural pool with the hot tub and a fire pit - all enclosed, gorgeously decadent and so very well designed.
A vase of flowers and a welcome hamper will greet you filled with seasonal and essential wares, butter, bread and honey, milk tea and coffee - the makings of a fine and simple meal. The developing vegetable patch will provide seasonal veg throughout the year including salads and herbs from the solar tunnel. You might also consider ordering your holiday groceries from the Cornish Food Market before you leave and have local food delivered, unpacked and waiting for you on arrival.
To Do
You have direct access to miles of footpaths and cycle trails. Near by Stithians Lake provides water-sports activities, beaches are easily reached should you want a day at the surf and sand. The bustling and interesting town of St Ives with The Tate and galleries, fine restaurants and shops makes for a good day mooching. There are many gorgeous gardens to visit, interesting towns, tons of beaches and days out attractions for the kids.

As part of their green policy Rosie and Simon invite you to plant a tree at Little White Alice to offset your journey and your general carbon footprint. You may chose from a range of trees from their own nursery during the winter months or if you are visiting in the summer they will plant the tree of your house for you in the new woodland during the planting season.
Dogs are allowed in The Ash House, but not in any of the other cottages. If The Ash House is not available then the local kennels are recommended - Marley the gorgeous black lab that might greet you likes it there. Speak with Rosie and Simon.
