I stayed at Coombe Mill with my husband and 3 boys (ages 6, 5 and 2) at the beginning of October and we had an amazing time. We stayed in a Scandinavian Lodge which was stunning, and huge! It had everything we needed - washing machine, dryer, and even a cot and highchair if you need them. The accommodation is immaculate and very clean.
Whatever isn't available in your accommodation is probably available to borrow from reception. I saw wellies, potties, books and games so there is no need to pack the car up too much. They also provide bread, milk and homemade meals that you can buy .
There's lots to do at Coombe Mill - feed the animals, play in the fantastic children's play areas (indoor or outdoor) - my oldest loved the zipwire and it was hard to get my middle boy out of the pirate ship . There's a trampoline, swings, bikes, trikes and cars. The children loved it.
There's lots of outdoor barbecue areas but also a fantastic indoor one, so you can enjoy a barbecue whatever the weather.
Coombe Mill is also the perfect place from which to explore the North Cornwall Coast and we had some great days out at Port Isaac, Polzeath and Padstow. It's a beautiful area with lots of do.
This was our first visit but we will definitely be returning. Coombe Mill is a perfect family friendly holiday and the owners are so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I don't like to return to the same place year after year, it's a big ole world, and i believe we should try and see it. With that in mind, we are currently away on holiday at another children's holiday farm, and god do I wish I was back at Coombe Mill.
It's clean here, picturesque, and quiet, but the farm is nothing in comparison. At Coombe mill, you get to know the animals so well that you are bound to miss them when you leave. Each have names, and it just makes your holiday. The feed run in the morning is brilliant entertainment for the kids, but the adults will love it too.
There's plenty to keep you busy on the site, but even more to do in the region, with Tintagel close by and Trabarwith Strand, an amazing family beach.

We had our best ever family holiday at Coombe Mill in Cornwall (so much better than Euro Disney!!). Every morning we put on our Wellies and joined Farmers Nick and Ted, jumping on to the tractor and doing the rounds to feed the chickens, donkeys, ducks, goats, pigs, bunnies and ponies. Both of the kids even had a drive of the tractor! Our daughter was a bit scared at the start of the week, but by a few days in she was really enjoying feeding all the animals.
We’re hoping to go back again next year.

Yet another fantastic holiday from the Odells and Lakeys. Been coming to Coombe now for over 16 years and always have such a wonderful relaxing time. Lovely to see how the family are consistently making improvements each year by adding new animals, accommodation etc. Their enthusiasm is the same as when they first took over which is brilliant. Coombe will always be a holiday favourite with us and we will be back!!! xx

We have all had a wonderful time on Nick and Fiona’s lovely farm, especially Morten, he has loved the tractor rides and driving the tractor and getting to know the animals. And Morten wanted to thank farmer Ted for making his week special. We will definitely be in touch to book again next year.

We had a lovely week at Coombe Mil and have already booked to go back next year. Our children loved the freedom of the farm and spent many happy hours in the playground and feeding the bunnies. Our accommodation was beautifully clean and had everything we needed. The farm is set up to make sure your holiday is as relaxed and child friendly as possible!
Our younger daughter had been seriously ill earlier in the summer and to see her gain energy and stamina over our week at Coombe Mill was lovely. We now have two children with a healthy glow, ready for school in September! Many thanks to everyone at Coombe Mill.

We had an absolutely wonderful holiday in Heligan Scandinavian lodge last week. The whole family had a great great time, and adored the set up they have at Coombe Mill. It was the most relaxing holiday I have had for many years and am already looking forward to next year.

Another lovely holiday, our second year running and we've booked again for next year! Pencarrow is stunning, and the animals were as popular as ever! Can't wait to see Dotty's piglets and any fawns that arrive. I think the goats are our favourite, lovely to get to know all their different personalities - Jumper definitely has the most attitude!!!! Can't wait to come back!

Had a wonderful holiday with Coombe Mill farm. Family run, the owners have children too who soon teamed up with ours. Our children are spread across 7 years but it was perfect for all of them. Such an easy holiday the week flew by. Now we are following all their news on their great facebook site which is sure to have us coming back for more!

We had such a fabulous week, thank you so much Coombe. We met some lovely people this week, and can't wait to come back again next year. I'm just going through all my photos now, Coombe really is so beautiful, I just couldn't stop taking photos. Both Harry and Holly had such a fantastic time, made some great friends, and really didn't want to come home.

We had such a wonderful holiday: Fiona, Nick, Ted, Gill (and the children!!) all did a great job in making our stay at Coombe Mill one of our best ever holidays... we are lucky enough to have travelled extensively and can honestly say when we visited your recommended ‘Secret Beach' I thought it was one of the most beautiful places on earth! The farm was perfect... our two boys had such a wonderful time ..... a really great family holiday ... perfect. THANK YOU Fiona.
We are looking at plans for next year and in the meantime, I have already recommended Coombe Mill to two friends !

Properties are like home from home with all the modern appliances you would hope for and even stair gates at the top and bottom of the stairs and a fenced in garden. Coombe Mill is so well thought out by the owners who clearly understand what is needed to make a relaxing family holiday.
Megan Bates & Family writes on 12 March 2011
The kids were desperate for a farm holiday but I wanted sun and luxury. Coombe Mill wasn't luxury but it was perfect for the children and even the rainy days didn't seem to matter. They were so happy on the farm and with the animals I think we will be back again and my sunny holiday will have to go on the back burner!
Chloe Patterson & Family from Hove, nr Brighton writes on 01 March 2011
We have been going to Coombe Mill for years, what really sets it apart is the investment that the owners put in. Every time we go there is something new, a property, play area, always something which keeps it fresh whilst retaining the farm charm. It keeps us returning year after year!
Silvia Vázquez de Parga & Family from London writes on 27 February 2011
Great place, great people. Perfect farm to spend some days with children and grandparents. We went with our two daughters, Carlotta 4 years old and Alice 2, and they had the best time. We are comming back this summer.Thank you Ted for your explanations and for the tractor rides!!!
Highly recommended

Super family holiday, focused on families with kids. Lots of open space for kids to run around free. Not far from Bodmin (Bodmin Jail, Lanhydrock House) and lots of lovely wooded walks nearby. We did so much in our two weeks, but great place to relax as well - could easily spend all day on the farm.
Julia Brickle & Family writes on 01 February 2011
We've been to Coombe Mill a couple of times now. Husband spends hours by the fishing lake and the kids spend the holiday running round with the animals. There is a facebook page, so the kids can follow what is going on with the animals on there. The latest news is the new shetland pony, which they can't wait to meet! Everything you could want to borrow for the kids is in the reception. Couldn't think of a better family holiday for us.
Anna Bramble & family writes on 21 January 2011
I brought the kids to Coombe Mill and we had the best holiday yet, at this wonderful farm in Cornwall! I would never have thought a farm holiday could be so easy, the daily tractor rides with Farmer Nick and Farmer Ted are just the best. The kids had the time of their lives, it's just so different from home life. I always worry about a holiday on my own with the kids, but found it really easy at Coombe Mill. Thoroughly recommend this holiday to anyone with children.
Louie Coles & family from London writes on 19 January 2011
I can recommend Coombe Mill as a great family farm holiday. Our youngster still thinks he can wonder off to feed the pigs even though we are back home! The Fishing lake is pretty challenging but a great escape - very peaceful! There is kit available for the kids, so they had a go too. Accommodation is very varied so worth looking on their web site to make sure you know what you are getting. We went for the cheap lodges which had amazing views but are very small, they have some lovely larger lodges which we will splash out on next time.
Sylvia Wheeldon and family writes on 17 January 2011
Great for kids whatever the weather. They loved the animals, the tractor feed run, indoor and outdoor play areas, freedom and space. Therefore very relaxing for parents! The owners are very welcoming and the Scandinavian lodges are lovely.
Hannah Starling and family from Bristol writes on 07 January 2011
What a gem we found in Coombe Mill Farm. Our little boy (age 3) just adored the tractor rides and even got to help drive. The owners Nick and Fiona are really helpful and the whole estate is just prefect for kids. I can't recommend it highly enough if you have young children. Brilliant, well done Coombe Mill, we will be back!

What a fantastic place for a family holiday! We stayed in Miller's House last week, perfect for 2 families and wish we could have stayed longer. The kids all loved the feed runs and being able to go an see the animals at any time. The weather was brilliant, BBQ x 2, lots of cider, a visit to the local pub, 2 days on the beach and much much more! Can't wait for next year, booked already.

Spent a fantastic week at Coombe Mill this Easter following a recommendation from a work colleague who has been many times. Stayed in Millers House which was perfect for two families. All the children loved spending time on the farm and especially riding in the tractor with Farmer Nick.

Thank you for another magical holiday - we all enjoyed ourselves - I celebrated my birthday and our wedding anniversary there - it couldn't have been any better! The baby animals were all gorgeous - we wanted to take one of the adorable piglets home with us but considering the size of Dotty, its a good thing that wasn't an option! We've booked for next year too! Its something the girls, and us (!!) can look forward to for the rest of the year. Thank you Nick, Fiona, Gill & Ted from The Evans Family x

We have just returned from our third holiday at Coombe Mill and again we had a great time and were blessed with fantastic weather. Our two sons (2yrs and 5yrs) loved being able to visit the animals whenever they wished and were more than happy to leave some of their packed lunches just so they could feed 'Dotty' the pig! Our only slight dissapointment was that 'Dotty' didnt have her piglets during our stay but our eldest son is over the moon that she ended up having them on his birthday! We will definately be back to Coombe Mill again and will continue to recommend it to our friends!
Gemma Tillotson writes on 28 April 2010
Our second holiday at Coombe and every bit as fantastic as the first. Our boys loved it and went on the feed run every morning. If only Dotty hadn't disappointed!!! Booked again for next year.
Claire Wright writes on 26 April 2010
Just got back from another fantastic holiday at Coombe. Everything was perfect, and to see so many babies born in the week, including Dotty's gorgeous brood, what more could we have asked for. A special thanks to Farmer Nick and Farmer Ted, Harry was spoilt with so many turns at driving the tractor, it made his week and 1 year old Holly has become accomplished at imitating a sheep! Can't wait to come back next year!!!

We have been coming to Coombe for the last 10 years. We have never been disappointed rain or shine!
Our kids are 3 and 9 and love the feed run every morning but we love the fact that we can go round the farm and see the animals at any time of day.
We can't wait until this spetember when we will be visiting again!!! : - ) xxx

We stayed at Coombe Mill February half term in one of the Scandinavian Lodges which was great, really spacious and perfect for the kids. The lodge was right beside the playground and the kids had the run of the farm which was super! Coombe Mill was in a brilliant location, very close to the Camel Trail (we took our bikes and spent a day on the camel trail) half an hour from the beach and the village pub in walking distance, which did great food! Thoroughly recommend Coombe Mill for a relaxing holiday!
Jessica Cooper writes on 03 March 2010
We took the family in October and had a wonderful break and are coming back in summer! The house was great and the surroundings are beautiful - the perfect escape from work! The family were really welcoming when we arrived and it was great for our kids, they got on really well with the camboroupolos children. It was so nice to let the kids just go off and play on their own without supervision - the highlight for them was feeding the animals! Really relaxing holiday and cant wait to go back in July!

We had a such a wonderful family holiday. Coombe Mill is so relaxing, the children enjoyed getting back to basics, feeding the animals, riding on the tractor, making friends and despite taking thier favourite DVDs for rainy days they never once watched them which was refreshing for us all! We were lucky enough to see baby chicks hatch while we were there and by the end of the week the children were giving them a morning stroke and had names for them all. The home cooked meals were simply scrummy and big portions too so the great kitchen did no more than heat meals! We are already booked in again for next year!

We had a fabulous time here in June 2009. The daily tractor rides were brilliant and we really enjoyed paddling in the forde and stream, looking for wildlife around Coombe Mill. The kids also loved feeding the animals. Coombe Mill have thought of everything for the children, which made our stay that more relaxing! Plus the food from the freezer was excellent. Made it a special treat to eat in. We'll definitely go back and would recommend to all young families!

As two families we decided go on holiday together in a shared cottage at Coombe Mill. We knew the kids would get on great - luckily the adults did as well. We were spoilt for space in Millers cottage with it's 4 double bedrooms and one single, everyone was happy. So with 4 adults, 4 girls, a toddler and a baby we would highly recommend a stay here as there is so much to keep all ages entertained. The big attraction is the farm run with hen feeding, Sally the pig, donkeys, sheep, deer, goats and not forgetting my girls favourite the rabbits. Needless to say - "Dad dad ..can we have one Dad?" was the main topic on the way home.
