North Bradbury Farm, Devon
North Bradbury Farm, Chittlehampton, North Devon

A really fun, relaxed place to be with farm animals, a pool and lots more to keep the kids happy!
North Bradbury Farm provides all you could need for a truly memorable and relaxed family farm holiday. The two cosy and tasteful cottages are kitted out with all kinds of child-friendly paraphernalia meaning you won't have to worry about your toddler getting up to mischief; Tracey has provided all you could think of and more. North Bradbury is an ideal safe and secure place too for your budding little farmers - with animals to visit and feed, indoor and outdoor toys to keep them occupied and a glorious heated outdoor pool, you're guaranteed a fun time.
Accommodation
The 'upside-down' properties are converted from the former 17th century stables and barn and have a wealth of original features (parts of the wooden cider press remain in The Cider Barn). Both are equally tasteful and comfortable and offer all you will need for an easy self-catering holiday, from the pans to the dishwasher to the cosy beds!
The Cider Barn comprises a double bedroom, bathroom and toilet downstairs, half landing to fully- quipped kitchen/dining room with stairs leading to the spacious first floor living room with bed settee - stair gates are available.
The Stables has a double and a twin bedroom and bathroom downstairs with stairs leading up to a large open-plan fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, the living-room, containing a double bed settee and an upstairs toilet. A connecting door upstairs conveniently allows large groups to let both properties together (max. 10 persons).
Towels are provided, as are big fluffy duvets, plug covers, window catches, games, CD player for musical statues (do you ever get chance to listen to your own stuff?), a Freeview box for emergencies and a video and DVD player with DVDs supplied. Wi-fi provides for those internet dependent.
Outside each cottage has it's own decked area where you can sit and enjoy your surroundings; there are stunning views over the River Mole Valley and you're south facing so you have every chance of catching some precious rays.
Laundry facilities are available externally so you can get all the washing done before you leave for home whilst the rest of the family enjoy the farm (did I say something wrong?).
High chairs and cots are available by arrangement.
The Farm Animals
What you don't get every day is 10 acres of farm land to explore and burn off the energy sufficiently to ensure a sound sleep. The day will start off with great anticipation for all mini-farmers waiting to help Farmer Chris feed his animals including Jacob sheep, pigs, goats, cats, dogs and horses, and they even get to start off on a breakfast egg hunt courtesy of the free-range chickens and ducks - the duck pond is fenced off. Pony rides can be arranged.
I will briefly mention the sheep-safari - something that should remain special to North Bradbury and it's visitors to share. Rest-assured it will be memorable and so very much fun!
Outdoors
When the animals need respite there are lots of things for the children to enjoy. The fantastic heated outdoor pool is a massive treat and incredibly indulgent considering there aren't going to be tons of others sharing it with you! There's also a trampoline, sandpit, playhouse, slide, swing, and ride on toys, as well as a games room with football table and air hockey. The outdoor storage area for cycles and muddy wellies & buggies means there is no excuse not to get out and explore!
Out & About
There is tons to do - a farm walk straight from the doorstep; fishing on the River Taw, clay pigeon shooting and golf to enjoy. If you want to see what's around, the North Devon Link Road is just 10 minutes away making it easy to explore and enjoy Exmoor and the North Devon Coast, with all their attractions on offer. Just ask Tracey what you might do or where you might go - she'll give you lots of ideas.
Baby-sitting can be arranged should you feel like a trip out to the local pub just 1½ miles away. Alternatively you can arrange to ‘dine out' in the farmhouse dining room and have a wholesome meal freshly prepared for you and clock up zero food miles. For little ones frozen organic baby foods are available in the farm shop. For grown ups fancying a treat a holistic therapist will visit the site and treat you in the comfort of your own cottage - ask for details.

Fun at the Farm: A fantastic hands-on farm holiday - our boys aged 7 and 4 had a great experience with Tracey and Chris - pony-trekking on Pudding and Whiskey, feeding the hens ,pigs and ducks, sheep safari and jumping around on the trampoline!
The accommodation is top notch with homemade scones to welcome us on arrival. Very sorry to leave and will hopefully be back again.
