Northcott Farmhouse is a unique and large holiday house, from which you can walk to the sea in under 15 minutes along a private farm lane. With the luxury of nine bedrooms it can accommodate up to 17 people, absolutely perfect for family get-togethers.
This big country farmhouse and its spacious gardens are full of individual character and traditional style and it's also toddler friendly as all the usual safety equipment can be provided as required.
You will find this large Georgian period farmhouse wonderfully secluded and together with the option to book a private catering service it certainly makes the perfect venue for birthday celebrations, family get-togethers and friend reunions. The house has Wireless Broadband so you can stay in touch on-line and for the sports fans a sky sports package is also available.
The farmhouse has extensive facilities to make your stay special. The fully equipped kitchen has all that is required to cater for such large numbers and adjoins the dining room with its real wood-burner and the large dining table comfortably seats all.
There are two large lounges complete with large TV's, with freeview & sky package & DVD players. One is a traditionally styled Georgian sitting room complete with stripped floorboards and comfy sofas overlooking the garden. The second lounge is equally ideal for entertaining with 4 large sofas, woodburner and its French doors lead out onto the patio and barbeque area which has stunning views down the valley to the Atlantic Ocean and Northcott beach. Additionally, there is the ‘snug', which can either be a private sitting room for the double bedroom above with private staircase located in the ‘Annex' or serve as an additional lounge.
The large and securely fenced gardens have a children's play area complete with swings, a climbing frame, wendy house, toys, free boogie boards and ample room for softball games. During bad weather and the winter months children and those young at heart can entertain themselves in the converted heated cellar. It contains a pool table and table football. Up to 3 well behaved dogs at this property are allowed with prior arrangement.
There are 9 bedrooms set over two floors. On the ground floor there is a twin & two singles then a double room above the "snug" in the annex. There is also a family bathroom, with bath and over-bath shower and a separate toilet and shower room on the same level. On the First floor there are two double bedrooms (1 en-suite), 2 x triple sleepers (includes double bed and 1 single bed) both en-suite, a single bedroom, a king-size bedroom en-suite with bath and shower cubicle and a family bathroom, with bath and over-bath shower (which can also be used ensuite to the other double. I booked Northcott Farmhouse for the weekend through Court Farm Holidays, for a group of 15 friends. We had a brilliant weekend party, did some surfing, went to pub, but the best thing about it was the house. It was really comfortable, brilliant layout for a party, massive kitchen with Aga, ideal for sitting round catching up. Plenty to do around there as well so I would recommend it very highly. The company is very friendly as well.
