Around and About Poltarrow Cottages & Cornwall
The owner Judith is an excellent host and is able to recommend local places to eat and things to do. St Austell itself is an excellent base to explore many attractions in Cornwall and is in close proximity to the award wining Eden Project. Whilst Poltarrow is in easy reach of St Austell it is far enough off the mail road to give peace and tranquillity.
There is also a Bed & Breakfast accommodation available for families at the farmhouse but only suitable for families with children over the age of five.

After spending weeks looking for a holiday cottage that catered for children yet also would be a treat for ourselves, we came across Poltarrow Farm and have just had a fantastic holiday there. We spent the first week in July in Sika cottage with our 2 children-and were pleasantly surprised at the quality and standard of this holiday cottage and its shared facilities. They really were 5 star, and this was great as the cottage was comfortable and luxurious for us yet also very child friendly. The bedrooms were spacious and the double bed very comfortable. The nursery box was good and there were blackout blinds, a food blender, and they had proper wooden cots rather than just travel cots. The facilities were fantastic and much loved by our 9month old and toddler who is nearly 3. Having the indoor tumble play room was fantastic as it did rain quite a lot, and we made good use of the pool which we always had to ourselves. They have catered for children of all ages here as the sports hall was also great. The extra little things were also much appreciated-a cream tea welcomed us along with wonderful groceries for breakfast the next day. Initially I was concerned about the location-as we would have preferred to be a bit further into Cornwall, but it actually worked out very well and had easy access to all areas of Cornwall. There are also supermarkets very near by which is always handy. All in all a wonderful holiday and we will definietely return. Would highly recommend it to friends and family.
