The Holiday Cottages
There are four 2 bedroom cottages sleeping a family of 4 plus a cot and Forsythia House the largest property sleeping a family of 6 in luxury and comfort. In one of the three bedrooms you will find bunk beds.
All the holiday properties are beautifully presented and boast many original features giving them a certain charm and character. Exposed wooden beams, inglenook fireplaces and tiled floors are just some of the original features found internally. Gardeners Cottage and Rectory Cottage are both pretty traditional Norfolk flint cottages with Garderners Cottage tucked away in ‘The Londs' - the quaintest lane in Overstrand.
There are cots, highchairs, stairgates and fireguards available to request if on holiday with little ones. There is also a stash of baby equipment available such as baby monitors, baby baths, bath slip mats, potty, books and toys. Plus all cottages come complete with laundry facilities, microwaves and plastic crockery so that you can rest assured everything has been thoughtfully provided for your ease of travel with kids in tow.
The holiday cottages either have private gardens or courtyards with garden furniture and barbeque equipment.
Things to Do and Places for Families to Visit in Norfolk
Overstrand is a crab fishing village just to the east of Cromer and within walking distance either along the beach or by the cliff top path, has safe sandy beaches which are ideal for young children to build sand castles, play beach cricket and football or hunt for crabs.
There is lots to see and do in North Norfolk, as well as several blue flag awarded beaches and outdoor play areas. There is the new Amazona Zoo at Cromer, North Norfolk Steam Railway and the Muckelburgh Collection. If the weather is poor indoor activities are plentiful - Woodlands swimming pool at Trimmingham is just 3miles from Overstrand and there is also Splash swimming pool at Sheringham.
