Large Family Holiday Cottages - Child Friendly Self-Catering Accommodation
Trelow Barton and Trelow Farmhouse are traditional Cornish stone farmhouses and have been beautifully refurbished to a very high standard offering excellent 5 star family accommodation. Each cottage sleeps a maximum of 12 guests with 6 bedrooms and 2 family bathrooms. The charming holiday cottages have been tastefully decorated and provide an excellent home away from home with lots of thoughtful touches found throughout.
The fabulous modern kitchens are large and well-equipped with all the mod cons; large cooker, microwave, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The open-plan dining room with large wooden dining table sits 12 comfortably and boasts a granite fireplace and a woodburner stove. Enjoy family evenings together in the comfortable lounge with sofas, TV, DVD with libraries of DVD's games and books. Relax in the enclosed spacious garden with hot tub heated to 37°C or enjoy a BBQ on the large private patio. Bed linen, towels, electric and central heating are included together with cots and highchairs on request. One well-behaved dog is welcome by arrangement and an outside kennel is provided. A welcome pack will be left for your arrival with local bread, butter, tea, coffee and biscuits. And an on-site shop stocking essentials and café will avoid the trek out to the local shops on arrival.
Crealy Great Adventure Park
Silver Horse Glade in Cornwall, borders Cornwall's Crealy Great Adventure Park and unspoilt farmland. Cornwall's Crealy Great Adventure Park has been awarded 'Top Tourist Attraction' by the Cornish Tourist Board. Lucky holiday guests have free access to the 6 great realms of endless, magical adventures including rides, animals and acres of indoor and outdoor play. The Park is open April through to October and guests access is restricted to normal opening hours. During the winter season parts of the park are open exclusively for on-site guests. Children under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Own a Pony
And for those horse-loving kids this is going to be the highlight of their stay at Silver Horse Glade. A unique ‘Own a Pony' experience is available for young guests who are lucky enough to holiday at one of the farmhouses. Enjoy learning to groom and care after your own pony for your entire stay. Children have the opportunity to assist the Rangers and care for one of the Miniature Spotted, Shetland or Dartmoor Ponies every day. It's the next best thing to having your own stable. Book early to secure your pony, as our 'Own a Pony' experience is very popular (subject to availability). The hard part is going to be saying goodbye to your newfound four legged friend when it's time to go home.

Silver Horse Glade is very easy to find, on the A39 between Newquay and Wadebridge, 5 miles from Padstow: just minutes from the A30 Highgate Hill Junction. There are endless walks on the adjacent farmland and nearby coast for all to enjoy. Kids will be thrilled to spot the local wildlife in the surrounding countryside, which is home to deer, badgers, foxes, rabbits and owls. Venture further afield to neighbouring Padstow or Newquay and enjoy the county's finest restaurants including Rick Stein's restaurants and Cookery School, Fifteen Cornwall and Fistral Blue, along with the best nightlife, shops and family fun. During the day visit Cornwall's famous coastline, with sheltered coves, rugged cliffs, traditional fishing village harbours and endless sandy beaches, with world-famous Fistral Beach only 7 miles away. There are golf courses aplenty, The Eden Project, Newquay Sealife Centre, Lands End, The Tate Gallery at St Ives and numerous National Trust properties and gardens all within a short drive.
