1 review(s) for The Dalmeny Hotel

My family headed off to the Dalmeny Hotel in St Anne's-on-Sea - a traditional British seaside town with a Victorian pier, arcades, sandy beaches and donkey rides. Less than a minute's walk from the beach and a short stroll to a central shopping area, the hotel is well deserving of its "family friendly" title.
We stayed in a Premium room, consisting of 2 double bedrooms opening onto the sun terrace, and 1 twin, all en-suite (as well as a separate ironing and storage area). Under counter fridges, tea/coffee making facilities, TV's and hairdryers in each room meant that there was no major argument about who got which room. The bathrooms were sparkling, spacious and well equipped with the all essentials.
The list of facilities available is impressive: a well equipped gym and studio, a spa with a comprehensive list of treatments; a sauna and aromatic steam room; a 20 foot indoor pool (also used for classes and kids activities), a Jacuzzi, splash pool and squash court. The changing facilities were clean, modern and well equipped and, being a little anxious about displaying my end-of-winter/still waiting-for-summer bod, I for one appreciated the pool's flattering lighting!
Once your schedule is sorted, make use of the Ofsted approved crèche for under 7's, the supervised kids entertainment for 7-14 year olds, or let the older ones chill out in the games room or make use of computers with free internet connection, or a PS3.
We had our evening meal and breakfast in The Carvery - both absolutely delicious with plenty of choice - I've never seen my 3 year old eat so much!
There are also two other restaurants, three bars, lounge areas, free wi-fi internet, laundry room & service, room service, shoe cleaning, car valeting, a hairdressers and a baby sitting service. Not to mention free car parking on site.
As a family business, the Dalmeny hotel has the "family thing" taped - friendly staff, great facilities, plenty of entertainment. And grandparents will find it just as appealing, so you can make it a complete family holiday. Just be sure you stay long enough to make the most of what's on offer.
