On the banks of the River Thet in the heart of Thetford Forest, our site at Thorpe is perfect for exploring the Norfolk Broads. There are no toilets or showers at the site, but portaloos are available to rent. The site draws campers looking for the chance to walk, cycle or fish and the peace and quiet of the site attracts a host of wildlife, including birds and deer. There is a variety of pitches available, from open fields to in the woods themselves. The closest village with a choice of places to eat is two and a half miles away and Thetford is seven miles in one direction, Diss seven miles in the other. There is a small shop in the reception area selling daily essentials.
