Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty close to Padstow and fantastic sandy surfing beaches, Trevorrick Farm is a special place to stay. The family friendly cottages (largest sleeps 4) are very well equipped to cater for the needs of children from baby baths and potties to age appropriate toys chests, board games and videos. Outside there are swings, climbing frames, a giant trampoline and a playing field for ball games or flying a kite. There is also a heated indoor swimming pool and more games rooms. The farm animals range from rabbits and guinea pigs, ducks and hens, miniature Shetland ponies to Saddleback pigs and a small herd of Dexter cattle, all on a child friendly scale in a peaceful and beautiful setting.
Trevorrick Farm's location is idyllic - a gorgeous spot surrounded by countryside yet close to the pretty fishing port of Padstow and very handy for the stunning sandy surfing beaches that North Cornwall is renowned for. The cottages and on-site facilities, including an indoor heated swimming pool, are extremely well equipped for families with children of all ages and after a great day exploring the delights of Cornwall they are a welcome retreat to return to. Your welcoming hosts Melanie and Mike live in the Farmhouse, which also serves as a Bed and Breakfast. They have a young family so can share a wealth of knowledge with regards to where the best places to visit and the local child friendly restaurants.
The Holiday Cottages
Originally the farms outbuildings these beautiful Cornish stone barns have been sympathetically converted to six cottages grouped close to the owner's original farmhouse. With quality furnishings and comfortable beds they offer a ‘home from home' place to return to after a great day and can sleep a family of 2-4. All cottages apart from Curlew have log fires or wood burners in the living rooms with the first basket of logs provided free of charge. A selection of age appropriate toys and books are provided in your cottage. You will find everything you need in the well-equipped kitchens, but should you wish to relax even more, there are also two great pub/restaurants within one mile. Should you need a babysitting service, one can be arranged with prior notice. All the cottages have their own unique garden areas - mostly enclosed.
The 'Wash House' contains local tourist information, a pay phone and a coin operated washing machine and tumble drier.
The Farm Animals
At around 9am you can help Melanie with the grooming of the Shetland ponies, petting guinea pigs and rabbits and maybe collect eggs from the hens. To see the free-range Aylesbury ducks wandering past your cottage door is one of the delights of staying here. Saddleback pigs and a small herd of Dexter cattle complete the family.
Child Friendly Facilities and Swimming Pool
The family friendly cottages are very well equipped to cater for the needs of children from baby baths and potties to age appropriate toys chests, board games and videos. There is lots of grassy space in which little ones can let off steam and a unique giant Play combine harvester - certain to be a huge hit with the younger guests. The children's play area will occupy even the most active of little ones with swings, climbing frames, a giant trampoline and a playing field for ball games or flying a kite. There is also a heated indoor swimming pool and more games rooms.
For the days when the weather is not so kind there is the indoor games room kitted out with air hockey, snooker and table tennis for the teenagers and a treasure trove of dressing up clothes for little ones with a giant Little Tikes dolls house, train sets and constructions sets. There is a handy stash of wellies that are free to borrow from size 4 (baby) to 3 (child). A great bonus if you forget to bring your own as it avoids dirtying shoes whilst helping to feed the animals. There's also a very large video library with all the Disney classics, plus many old favourites for grown ups.
Melanie and Mike have thoughtfully provided a comprehensive stock of baby equipment as from their own personal experience they realise how much packing is needed when traveling with young children. From night-lights to bed guards and baby monitors to potties, the list seems endless. Cots and highchairs need to be requested on booking. There are also baby carriers provided for you to enjoy some of the most stunning walks in this area. The walk to Padstow is a 'must do', but best by carrier rather than buggy because of stiles, but you can drive to the Camel Trail from Trevorrick (along lanes) and 'buggy' into Padstow on the flat. There is also one larger pushchair and one lightweight buggy, to borrow on daily basis.
Trevorrick Farm falls within the Camel Estuary hot spot area for Barn Owls. The owners provide owl boxes within a barn and managing the land to encourage a sustainable environment for them. Should you be lucky you may be privileged enough to see the Barn Owls nesting.
Location and Things to Do in Cornwall
Trevorrick Farm is situated on a quiet no through lane, which just leads down to the Little Petherick Creek. It's a pleasant 45 minute stroll to Padstow (about 2.25 miles), across farmland and onto the Camel trail. The views over the Camel Estuary are superb and you can never tire of this walk. Equally if you like cycling you can cycle onto the Camel trail directly along the quiet lanes, and then head towards Padstow or Wadebridge. The Atlantic Coast's clean sandy beaches and stunning coastal footpaths are only a 10 to 15 minute drive away.
Visit nearby picturesque fishing villages such as Padtow, Port Isaac and Boscastle ;explore country houses and gardens including Lanhydrock and Lost Gardens of Heligan to visit; many family adventure parks nearby, with Cornwall's Crealys Adventure Theme Park just 10 minutes away.

If the full rental has not been paid 28 days prior to the commencement of the letting period, then the booking is deemed to be cancelled and the deposit is forfeited and the Applicant remains liable for the full amount of the final payment. The Owners will offer the accommodation for let once more at whatever price they feel appropriate. In the event of a re-let any payment to the Applicant is entirely at the owners discretion and would be subject to any administration charge. When you book your holiday you are entering into a legally binding contract. If you are forced to cancel or cut short your holiday, for whatever reason, under the law you will be liable for the full cost of the holiday. Refunds can only be made in the event that we are able to re-let the property; any costs incurred in re-letting the property will be deducted. All contracts are deemed to have been made in Cornwall and are in accordance with English law. For your protection we advise that you take out holiday cancellation insurance.
If the property should not be available owing to damage by fire or storm or for any other reason so that the Owners are not able to comply with this agreement, the Owners shall refund to the Applicant the full amount of the monies paid to the Owners in advance of the holiday, or pro-rata and the Owners liability is limited to the refunding of such monies.
Your accommodation is available from 4.30pm on day of arrival. You undertake to take care of the property that you are renting and will pay for any articles damaged or lost. You will leave the property in a clean and tidy condition as found; failure to do so may result in an additional cleaning charge to cover the cost of obtaining "emergency" cleaning help to ensure the cottage is ready for the next occupants. You will vacate the property and return the keys to the owners by 10am on the day of departure and will settle any outstanding accounts prior to your departure. Whilst we thoroughly prepare the cottage for your arrival, we can offer an optional cleaning service, for those who need a quick "getaway" etc, if requested at least the night before departure. The cost is £20 for a one bedroom cottage or £30 for a two bedroom cottage.
A returnable "key" deposit of £50 is payable for each cottage booked. This will be payable as part of your final payment. Please note that we will be unable to give you access to your cottage unless the deposit has been paid. The deposit will be credited to your debit or credit card, less any deductions for breakages, damage, electricity excess or any additional cleaning charge (as above) within 7 working days after departure.
Prices include bed linen (excluding all cot bedding) for advertised bed spaces and night storage heating. If an "extra bed" is required for a small child etc, there is an additional extra bed charge of £25 per week to cover provision of the bed and bedding. A change of bed linen is offered for stays of more than 7 days. Towels (not for pool or beach use) are available to hire if required.
Storage heating is included in the price, as required, throughout the year. As part of our environmental policy to encourage efficient usage of electricity, whilst allowing guests total control over their own consumption, typical consumption of electricity is included in the weekly tariff. In 2014 this is 15 units/night from 29th March to 2nd November and then 30 units/night at other times. However, any excess over the typical consumption (which is based on previous years usage) is charged at cost by meter reading. As Credis View static caravan has both electricity and gas, we include £15 per week from 3rd May to 5th October and then £25 per week at other times, for combined energy consumption.
Pets are allowed in certain cottages by prior arrangement subject to their owner accepting liability for any damage that they may do and on the condition that they are exercised away from the gardens, they are under control at all times and that they are not left unattended in the property nor allowed in bedrooms or on furniture. Pet owners are expected to bring suitable bedding for their animals and feeding dishes.
The owners reserve the right to enter the property at any time should maintenance or other circumstances make it necessary to do so.
The applicant agrees that all members of his party will abide by the conditions of pool useage that the owners have in place at the time of their stay to meet health and safety requirements and understands that non-observance of these rules will lead to withdrawal of this facility for the whole party for the duration of their stay without compensation.
The use of any amenities provided by the owners is entirely at the users risk and no responsibility can be accepted for any injuries to persons or loss or damage to any belongings of persons who use them. Further, the Owners or their servants will not be liable for any act, neglect or default on the part of the Owners or any other person. The Owners will not be liable for any accident, damage, loss, injury however caused. Parents are responsible at all times for their children and need to ensure their supervision.
The Applicant certifies that he or she has signed the Booking Form on behalf of all persons in the party who will occupy the property during the period booked and that they are all aware, apart from infants, of the Booking Conditions. Our website description of the property clearly indicates the maximum number of guests who may occupy it. Exceeding this number, without the owners written approval, constitutes a breach of contract and the Owners have the right to terminate the booking forthwith with all monies paid, or due, being forfeited.
Should the Applicant have a complaint, this should be raised at the time to give the owners an opportunity to rectify the matter. We cannot enter into correspondence regarding any complaint made following departure.
