The large sundrenched garden is perfect for a sundowner, to view the castle or to simply watch the steam train go by. Cyclists can go through the boom at the National Trust office and park bikes up in the garden.

Surrounded by four camp sites, Burnbake,  Norden Farm, Woody Hyde and Woodlands (caravan club ), the pub garden provides campers with a chilled out relaxed atmosphere to sample real ales on tap or try some freshly made great value pub food. We hold numerous Food, Cider and Ale festivals throughout the year as well as live music most weekends.

Do look at our website for updates, Menus, Fundraiser events and our monthly newsletters The pub is open all year round from 11:00 till midnight most nights; with children and most pets very welcome.
