We discovered this gem of a place while on a jaunt to my much loved shop Banana Republic on Regent Street and being from up North we had no idea what tibits was all about. What a fantastic discovery - not only did we love the decor, ambience and the v. tasty food, it also has a fantastic eating area downstairs that is completely child friendly. Blackboards, toys and books to keep little ones entertained give you more of a chance to relax and unwind - sometimes not an easy feat with kids in tow.
The heart of tibits is the food boat with more than 40 different hot and cold dishes. You create your meal yourself by selecting your favourites and then go over to the counter to get it weighed. This is perfect when eating with little ones as it is an extremely fair system to only pay for how much you would like to eat.
Joanne was in heaven as she is a vegetarian - as a meat eater I hadn't noticed the dishes didn't contain any meat as they were so varied and super tasty - Joanne enlightened me towards the end of the meal!
tibits located on Heddon Street is based on a small pedestrianised area just off Regent Street known as Regent Street's Food Quarter. If visiting during dusk this place has a magical aura, lit up with hundreds of fairy lights.
We are now big fans and will definately visit when we are back in the city with or without the kids.
