There's heaps here to keep the children occupied and happy too - all making for an unforgettable family holiday.
Bring your little Indians to camp in unique wooden Wigwams! Humble Bee has 16 Big Chief Wigwams & 4 Running Water Deluxe Wigwams, which are open 12 months a year. Humble Bee also has a small campsite including two hard standing electric pitches for tourers or motorhomes and 11 non-electric tent pitches (grass).
There are also four Nomadic Yurts and five glamorous Bell Tents – Merry Dales Glamping Bell Tents! Which to choose?!?
Humble Bee Big Chief Wigwams
Humble Bee Farm’s cosy Big Chief Wigwams each sleep up to five people. You can enjoy evenings around the campfire under the stars, toast marshmallows and then look forward to a good night’s sleep. Humble Bee’s timber Wigwams are insulated and include a toaster, fridge, heater, microwave, mattresses, storage space and coffee table. There is parking next to your Wigwam and a picnic bench and charcoal BBQ (charcoal not provided). You can personalise your Wigwam with affordable extras, such as a firebowl, lanterns, bunting, fairy lights, bedding and much more.
The famous Full Glamping Package is very popular, where a Wigwam is made into beautiful haven of peace and quiet with everything from buntings to bubbly. This ultimate luxury in camping is fantastic for a special occasion.
Humble Bee Yurts
Humble Bee Farm welcomes 4 Nomadic Yurts. Each Nomadic Yurt has a restful green roof with a ‘stargazer’ window and calming cream walls with fun circular windows.
The Yurts come with indoor warming stove burner, twinkly fairy lights, comfy double bed with mattress, two single futons, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge (electricity included in the tariff; special timber for log burner and/or outdoor fire bowl can be ordered from Humble Bee Farm Reception). Just like the Wigwams, you can personalise your Yurt with affordable extras.
Outdoor cooking makes food taste so much better, so each Yurt also has an adjacent canopied outdoor kitchen area including a picnic table, 1 ring gas burner hob and an outdoor charcoal bbq. You can purchase more charcoal from reception during office hours.
Caravans and Camping
Humble Bee Farm includes two hard-stand tourer pitches and 11 non-electric pitches. Non-electric pitches are available at certain times of year. For caravan and camping visitors there is a great patio area overlooking the duck pond where you can enjoy spectacular view, some peace, tranquillity and view of our working farm.
Fun things to do…
The children's play area will keep youngsters amused, comprising of swings and toddler swing, towers with bridge across, fireman's pole and slide.
Sit back and watch Farmer Percy drive his tractor around his 325-acre farm, which has sheep, cows, pigs, goats, ducks, hens, and guinea fowl. You can even collect an egg for breakfast! See lambs born during springtime, cows and calves in the pastures during summer, golden fields being harvested in the autumn and take brisk walks during the winter.
There's a pretty duck pond and plenty of walks to enjoy around the farm as well as further afield - ask John or Julia and they will provide you with extra information.
