About Lantern & Larks - Kittisford Barton
Just half an hour away from Taunton, but set in some of the South West’s most stunning countryside, the Kittisford glamping site was chosen by the Lantern and Larks team for its peace, tranquility and beautiful scenery. Located on a 260 acre organic farm there’s plenty of opportunities for walking around woodlands, ponds and fields, and meeting the farms resident goats and chickens right on your doorstep.
The beautiful tents are more like luxury canvas wrapped cabins so forget all you know about traditional camping! Each sleeps up to 6 in 3 bedrooms - 1 king, 1 twin and 1 bunk room. Travel cots can also fit into the king and bunk rooms. Solid pine beds with comfy mattresses are made up for you on arrival in each of the separated sleeping areas, with plenty of space to hang clothes and kit. Solid decking floors run throughout and light is provided by beautiful candle lanterns and oil lamps. And if that wasn’t enough you’ll have your own toilet and hot shower in the tent - this truly is comfortable glamping at it’s best!
The open plan living area includes a wood burner for heat and cooking, as well as a hob, sink and 2 cold box chests to keep your food fresh. Kitchen utensils, pots, pans, glasses, mugs, cutlery and tea towels are also included.
Gather round the wooden dining table for a game of cards, snuggle up on the sofas or relax on the terrace at the front of the tent which is equipped with comfortable furniture, great for whiling away an evening over campfire marshmallows. Firepits, BBQ and unlimited wood are also included in the price.
Wander around the 260 acres of organic farm through woodland and fields, visit the farms goats and collect eggs from the chickens in the orchard. You can order breakfast packs, BBQ packs, and Campfire packs to make your stay even easier.
Travel cots are available for hire and high chairs are free of charge. There are also 4 pubs serving food within 3 miles of the campsite.
