The Villa & Annex
Totally renovated and refurbished in 2016, Villa Castello Roccolo and the adjacent annex combine modern living with beautiful tuscan charm. Amazing vistas from the vast terraces and your own private infinity pool add to the luxury and comfort indoors.
The main villa provides 2 bedrooms, 1 king and 1 twin, 2 bathrooms, sitting room, dining room and modern kitchen complete with dishwasher, comfortably accommodating family and friends. The annex has 1 king bedroom, a bathroom, its’ own small sitting area and kitchenette - perfect for grandparents or visiting friends.
The villa is equipped with a modern kitchen and a kitchenette in the annex. Castiglion Fiorentino has a wealth of eating out options, whilst closer to home there is a small shop, bar and restaurant should you wish to stay local.
The vast terraces at the front of the property are blessed with sunshine from mid morning until sunset, with plenty of shade provided from the olive trees. A smaller terrace at the back of the property provides a space to enjoy the gentle morning sun. There’s plenty of seating on the terraces and around the pool to make the most of the views.
Adjacent to the villa is a deconsecrated 12th Century church which makes the perfect venue for small weddings and other celebrations, exclusively for Castello Roccolo guests.
Children will love to explore the grounds, with plenty of grassy meadows to run around in, and there are easy hikes and walks from the villa.
Out & About
Although being surrounded by tranquil countryside, Castello Roccolo is located just 3km from Castiglion Fiorentino - a small historical walled city. Here you’ll find plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, as well as a train station to making it easy to explore surrounding Tuscan towns and cities such as Siena, Florence, Montepulciano and Cortena. You’ll find the villa an excellent base from which to explore this magical area, its festivals, history and culture - perhaps with a cheeky trip to a vineyard or two!
