About the owners

Janet & John

We moved to Devon from Hampshire nearly 35 years ago to start a new adventure with our young children. With its breathtaking beaches and amazing tranquility we want to share our little corner of North Devon with you.

Tips from the owners

Local things to do, places to eat and attractions not to be missed.

  • Explore hundreds of miles of breathtaking coastal paths just minutes from your cabin door.

  • Step back in time and visit the pretty fishing village of Clovelly where donkeys take the place of cars.

  • Feel the spray of the Atlantic and try your hand at surfing at any of the world-class surfing beaches nearby.

  • Tuck into amazing food at the award winning Pattard Kitchen, or take a short drive to the Farmers Arms.

  • Try a local theme park. Visit The Milky Way and meet aliens, or go sheep racing at The Big Sheep.

  • Meet the puffins on Lundy Island. Take a day trip on the MS Oldenburg and explore the island.
