About the owners

Andrew and Rachel

Listed since April 2022

We’re a family of four – husband Andrew , wife Rachel (also a jewellery designer) and our two beautiful children River and Herbie. We live at Crabtree Farm alongside our pampered, long-haired Dachshund Rafferty and two cats Dotty and Ziggy. Back in September 2019, we moved to Crabtree Farm having spent over 20 years living and working in London. We needed a change from the hustle and bustle, and wanted to create something new and exciting for our future. We've worked hard to create an environment in which families can stay together, cook together, and form new memories together with a focus on sustainability.

Owner recommendations

  • As big foodies, we are always happy to offer up recommendations. Firm favourites we always return to are The Tiger Inn, The Five Bells and The Pig Hotel.

  • Nature-lovers should check out the 500 acres of gardens at Leeds Castle in Maidstone. Only half an hour from the farm.

  • There are over 50 vineyards in Kent, so a wine tasting and tour is a must for those with a passion for food and drink.

  • Spend an afternoon at Port Lympne Reserve with endangered animals, stunning views and historic landscaped gardens to check out.

  • The Devil's Kneading Trough Wye circular walk is fabulous. Expect brilliant views and it's only a five minute drive from the farm.
