Where is it and how do you get there?

By air

Brest and Rennes airports are both just over an hour from La Garenne.

By road

Hennebont is the closest large town at just 20 minutes drive from La Garenne. Rennes is around 1.5 hours away.

By sea

St Malo and Roscoff are the closest ports at around 2 hours' drive.

By rail

Gare de Branderion is a 20 minute drive from La Garenne.

Greg and the team have been offering luxury accommodation for over 30 years now and have enjoyed many a happy memory and family holiday at La Garenne and its beautiful surrounds. They are a family run business and take an enormous amount of pride in helping each of their guests experience Brittany at its finest!

Tips from the owners

Local things to do, places to eat and attractions not to be missed.

  • There are lots of sandy beaches within a 30 minute drive including Guidel to the west and the ever popular Carnac to the south.

  • Cycle hire is highly recommended throughout your stay to make the most of the wonderful towpath and countryside trails.

  • West Wake Aquatic Park is just 3 minutes away and has some great slides and an obstacle course, as well as wakeboarding and waterskiing for the over 8s.

  • The country town of Vannes is a must-see with its pretty cobbled streets, well preserved medieval houses as well as great shops, restaurants and bars.

  • Hire canoes or kayaks for a few hours of fun on the river itself.
