Our site is a peaceful and restful place where you can spend precious days away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and Rufus’s Roost really is something special, appealing to that inner child in all of us!

  • Riding stables are popular locally and there is a school/trekking centre at Boltby.

  • Microlight experience flights and lessons are available right here at Baxby.

  • Flamingo Land is a great theme park and zoo for younger children.

  • The city of York is only 30 minutes’ drive away and has loads of attractions including the Jorvik centre and Dig, as well as great shopping and the race course.

  • Hire bikes and explore the beautiful local area.
