Sloeberry Farm has recently been awarded the VisitWales Gold Standard by the Welsh Government, one of the few glamping sites in Wales to be awarded this under the Quality Assured Glamping Scheme.

The lodges and cabins have their own private garden area with picnic table, fire pit and BBQ and a private wood fired hot tub just outside.

Uniquely designed the canvas lodges offer spacious living, proper beds with luxury bedding, vintage sofas, fully equipped indoor kitchens, toasty log burners and en suite shower and toilet cabins.

The lodges sleep up to six, or eight in Owl Lodge. All lodges have a king size master bedroom and a king cabin bed for those that want to hide away. Owl Lodge has four single beds on an upstairs level while the other lodges have a bunk bed room downstairs. All have proper beds made up with luxurious bed linen and super warm duvets. Next to the bedrooms is a shower room and separate en-suite wash room with basin and flushing toilet.

Each cabin accommodates up to two adults and two children in one king bed and full sized bunk beds hidden in the snug, again all made up with luxurious bed linen and superwarm duvets. Behind each cabin is a private toilet and hot gas-powered shower, each hidden in a traditional-style hut built by a local craftsman.

Eat

The kitchens are fully equipped with everything you should need for your glamping trip including a four ring gas hob, sink, cooking utensils, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and glassware. Across from the kitchen area is a full size dining table great for a long lingering supper or family breakfast. Outside there is a barbecue and picnic table so you can embrace dining outdoors and let the kids play while you grill up a feast.

If you don't fancy cooking, be sure to visit Cardigan with its artisan bakers, pizza makers and award-winning restaurants or enjoy some fish and chips on the beach! Ask on arrival for Sloeberry’s favourite pub and restaurant recommendations in the area.

Activities

Beside each lodge and cabin is a private fresh water wood-fired hot tub. Raised deck areas have stunning views across the coastal hills - where better to sit with a book on a summer afternoon? Down from the deck, you’ll find a picnic table, barbecue and firepit, perfect for sitting by a crackling log fire whilst gazing at the stars across the immense inky West Wales night sky.

If you fancy venturing beyond the farm, there's plenty of family fun to be had whatever the weather. For secret beaches, circular walks, and hidden gems, ask staff at Sloeberry Farm for their recommendations. The area is famed for outdoor pursuits such as coasteering, surfing, sea kayaking, sailing, mountain biking and walking too. If you’re an active family, you’re in for a real treat but for those after a more relaxing retreat, woodland walks and sea air are the perfect remedy to life’s stresses. The area is also well-known as the best location in the UK to spot dolphins, puffins and rare wildlife so don’t forget your binoculars!

Three miles away is Cardigan Bay, voted by Lonely Planet as the best place to be in the world right now. It is absolutely stunning with cliff walks, sandy bays, pristine National Trust beaches and small fishing villages with local pubs and restaurants. Sloeberry Farm is surrounded by the beautiful beaches of Cardigan Bay and the nearest is Aberporth just under three miles away through some country lanes. You can visit a different beach every day during your stay as there are ten more all within a 15 minute drive.

The historic Cardigan town is a must-visit and is only a ten-minute drive away. Traditionally where goods were shipped to the New World, now all of the historic buildings have been converted into galleries, shops, artisan bakers, pizza makers and award winning restaurants so you can imagine and discover the town’s rich past and enjoy its charming new offerings.

We love this place so much we gave up our jobs and moved our family to set up Sloeberry Farm on the beautiful west coast of Wales so more people could discover the area. Our farm is tiny with a couple of cottages, a few cabins and lodges scattered across the meadows for those that fancy something a little different.
