About the owners

Carol and Martin

Listed since December 2021

Carol and Martin Houghton have owned and run Airhouse Farm for over thirty years. Fifteen Years ago they established Airhouses, the self-catering lodges, so they could share their beautiful farm with other families. Airhouses has won a number of awards for its innovation and customer service. Airhouses is still a family run business with Carol and Martin's son-in-law Damian now the General Manager, and daughter Elisabeth on board as well. They look forward to welcoming your family to their family farm.

Owner recommendations

  • Pop in the hot tub in the snow! The combination of the cold and the hot is super exhilarating.

Feed the donkeys and then head round the Treasure trail to see if you can find all the clues.

Play boardgames in the Garden Room before BBQing in your BBQ hut as the sunsets.

Visit Paxton House near Berwick for family fun, a boat trip on the tweed, a fairy or nature trail and a sumptuous cafe.

Take a hike up The Eildon Hills, steeped in history and then pop into the newly renovated Trimonintium Museum, in Melrose to have an interactive explore of the Roman history of the Borders.

Head to Glentress in Peebles for amazing Mountain Biking fun, or a trip in a kayak down the River Tweed then back to the luxurious hot tub!
