About the owners

Barney

Listed since March 2014

Our family has been involved in farming since my great great Grandfather arrived here many moons ago, In the last 20 years we have planted over 25 acres of woodland, have carried out extensive conservation work on the hedgerows and are recognised for our large numbers of small bird and wildflower species. Having something to show to and share with future generations is really important to us.

Tips from the owners

Local things to do, places to eat and attractions not to be missed.

  • Beacon Alpacas in Husthwaite - A relaxing 2 hour experience getting up close and learning about these fascinating creatures.

  • You will find go-karting at Monks Cross, and, further afield, a trip to Xscape will brush up your winter sports on the indoor real snow ski slope and ice rink.

  • For family fun, test your nerve on the large variety of rides at Flamingoland and Lightwater Valley Fun Parks.

  • There is some great fishing to be had on the local rivers and fishing lakes.
