The site offers family glamping in a spectacular countryside setting. Managed with the aim of having the lowest environmental impact, you’ll be immersed in a truly biodiverse habitat with spectacular dark starry nights.
Hand-built on the farm, Original Huts are based on the idea of an old shepherd's hut, built using reclaimed, recycled and locally sourced materials. The farm has two shepherd hut sites, each with four huts for sleeping in and an extra wash hut, with two each of hot showers and loos.
Each hut offers living accommodation for up to five people. Compact and quirky the huts quickly and easily change between day and night functions. The day bed at one end easily converts to become bunk beds, and the dining table at the other end folds down to make a double bed. Equipped with a gas hob and kettle, as well as a sink with cold running water you don't have to worry about lighting a fire for your early morning cuppa. There's a linen service too, so no need to bring your own bedding.
Each hut has its own outside dining furniture and its own fire pit for cooking.
To keep the environmental impact of the accommodation to a minimum the huts are not connected to a mains electric supply. Electric lighting is provided by means of a solar panel on the roof offering an easy and safe means of lighting. They really are an eco-conscious option and a brilliant way of getting back to nature.
