Following the huge success of last year’s winter terrace event, The Sandbanks Hotel is once again opening its doors this Christmas in Aid of Julia’s House. On Sunday 23 and Monday 24 December, between 11am and 4pm, families visiting the hotel will step into a wintery enchanted world inspired by The Nutcracker.
Children will be able to visit Santa Claus, Mrs Claus and the elves, with snow underfoot, in a magical Christmas grotto. Alongside him, some well-known characters from The Nutcracker including the Mouse King and the Sugar Plum Fairy. Santa will also have some of his reindeer nearby, enabling children to get a 'hands on' experience with the animals as well as joining in Face Painting, Fun and Games with Funsters Entertainment.
A hog roast, roasted chestnuts, mulled wine and mince pies will be available throughout the event and individually priced.
Ian Goodaker from The Sandbanks Hotel says: “Our Christmas events are hugely popular and as a result we decided to extend the festive celebrations over two days for even more people to enjoy. As well as meeting Santa Claus and his reindeer, guests will be entertained by characters from The Nutcracker, local celebrities and our Funsters Team. We look forward to welcoming local families to our Christmas celebrations!”
Tickets for the event cost £6 per person, with family tickets for two adults and two children priced at £20. 50p of each individual ticket sold will be donated to Julia’ House Children’s Hospice, as well as donations raised on the day and contributions from the Julia’s House raffle.
